Get ready for the Newbie-Friendly Weekend!
Are you tired of dying without an opportunity to help your team? Do you feel overwhelmed when playing in a server full of experienced players? Or, contrarily, you are proud of your skill, but you are worried about empty servers and game modes that nobody plays? In any case, the Newbie-Friendly Weekend is for you!
What's the Newbie-Friendly Weekend?
The Newbie-Friendly Weekend (NFW) is an event created with newbies in mind by the Crysis 3 community and with the support of Crytek, and spans for a full weekend (June 29th and 30th 2013). During this weekend we are going to encourage friendly gameplay between all Crysis 3 players, from all skill levels. This includes chatting, friendly matches, and master classes with experienced players, with prizes!
What's the objective of the Newbie-Friendly Weekend?
This is a game, guys and girls, and our main objective is TO HAVE FUN! But having fun all of us, both newbies and experienced players, helping each other to learn tricks, strategies and new ways to enjoy the game, and showing respect for players of all skill levels.
Having fun requires avoiding frustration, and we all know Crysis 3 can be frustrating for new players playing against experienced ones; so helping newcomers improve and feel better is a good way to ensure we all have fun and enjoy the game. Are you in?
How can you participate?
First and main thing, can change your clan tag (or add it if you don't use it) during the NFW so other players can know you are participating:
This way when you meet in game, you will know you can ask for help, give tips, invite as friends... Whatever you see fit for the situation.
To make communication smoother, we have several voice servers for the event, so if you haven't already, please install TeamSpeak 3. Even if you don't have a mic, you will be able to listen to the conversation.
TcFr TeamSpeak Server is the main TeamSpeak server for the event, and the first one you have to visit; it's kindly provided by the clan TcFr (Team Crysis France). Look for the Newbie-Friendly Weekend channel and explore the different subchannels.
Other voice servers will be used for specific servers, master classes and other activities (see below).
If you want some tips before starting, you can have a look to our Crysis 3 Multiplayer Tips and Tricks.
We will have several master classes and training sessions with experienced players (see below), some of them with streaming for everybody to watch. Will you miss the opportunity to learn with the best?
