Get SMART:Classes

Post » Thu Nov 18, 2010 10:28 am

I am glad these videos are released as often as they are. Seeing the game in action with new stuff makes the wait easier. Not easy, just easier.

I second the motion for a video that talks a bit more about customization or at least a list released that gives a few more details. Of course, in less than a week I'll know for myself.

We're on the brink of the release. ;)

Ah, I knew there would be more. Still hoping for "Get SMART: Customization" :whistling:

Also of note, the FRKN 3K (I believe that's what it is) makes it's debut appearance. Looks cool.

Anyone else think that SD will leave this video to the day before launch

I like how they let you see how many on your team are playing each class, but if were playin with bots shouldnt the teams be pretty balanced between the # of bots playin each class? just asking cause if im playin single player i dont want to be swapping classes the whole match.

This new video has me worried. It seems as though an Engineer's Mines are going to be pretty useless. I know that only Operatives will be able to see them and mark them for there team which is cool. It gives Operatives a way to interact/help there team.

What I do not like however is the fact that Operatives can make finding mines a mission which pretty much does the work for them taking them directly to where the mines are. Thats giving them free points and making mines pretty useless. They should at least have to find them on there own. I mean that won't be too difficult anyways considering how big mines are and the fact they will be outlines for them.

I hope they did not make this ability useless because it could be an asset to a team but the way things are turning out it seems as though there will be no reason to use them because of how easily they are countered.

I still find it funny that the Engineer uses his blowtorch to remove the explosive but never bothers to deactivate it.

That's how men diffuse their bombs..

one thing i noticed for MEDIC was that the pips for equipment usage is kinda slow :S i hope there's a perk or w/e to give you faster equipment regen rates. kuz if ur in a heated battle where u need to heal mass people... ur gonna have to WAIT a litlle bit :P

Or have multiple medics on your team.
Anyway, I noticed something too. When the Medic heals himself it only took one supply pip. Was that old footage, or did they change it so you no longer need to use two pips to self-medicate or self-resupply as a soldier?

I noticed that as well. It does take longer to buff yourself than it does to buff your 'mates though. And I'm almost positive that Medics can only heal themselves once every 30 seconds or so.

It's a good thing though, I'd say. If it took two pips to buff yourself, people would be running out of juice pretty often...

Yeah, I noticed that, it's pretty awesome.

P.S. One more vote for customization video tomorrow, or at least soon.

HAHAA! So it is true! Good spot, Van Zan! :D

I do wonder what the bayonets will do! Make you do the pistol-melee instead? Maybe at lowered damage due to the knife belonging to the pistols.. So 3 hits instead of 2 maybe, hum..

I would never do this due to my ethics and morals, but have you ever thought of stealing a copy? Since you do work there, and that it was unloaded and all, I know I would have it in my mind for a while, but it probably wouldn't happen for reasons in the start of the sentence

Or maybe scan in one in the cash-register and pay for one early? I probably wouldn't do that either.. But eh, I am me, you are you :P

I get that feeling too, it looks like the AI from combat training in Black Ops... They seem to take forever to actually aim at an enemy, and when they do they never miss.

For showcasing reasons, they turn sensitivity way down for when they're filming videos.

Also looks clunky. Not bad, tho.

Yes, it is. And it has been in the previous Get Smart videos as well.
