Get Smart Series: Objectives Discussion

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:45 am

Hello, so since we got a new video I wanted to know what interested people about this video, what you like , what you don't like, and stuff you noticed from the video that people might have over looked.
Personally i found it interesting that 11 bullets from the kriss (or what ever its name is here) did so much damage to a heavy body type. And also that engys don't just destroy hacks that enemy operatives plant but have to lower the status bar on it first. But I want to know what you saw and your thoughts.

The variety of class based objectives is awesome. I can't wait to get in game.

With all of this PSN drama going on, I can take comfort in the fact that I can earn XP offline in Brink. Can't tell you how relieved I am about that!!!

True that my friend.

"11 bullets from the kross can kill a heavy"

You have no idea how much damage the heavy had taken beforehand, so your point is really pretty invalid.

I have no idea who you are quoting so I dont even know if Its directed at me or not but you can see how much the heavy's (with the mini gun) life bar goes down in the video (and it was full at the beginning) so I do not see how the point was invalid. But I never said it could kill a heavy.

Looks even more amazing than I previously thought it was going to be... if that's even possible.

I liked seeing the semi-auto pistol drop a guy fairly quickly, once the shooter got his aim down. And it's pretty cool how multiple people can complete certain objectives simultaneously. Engineers definitely have their work cut out for them though.

I noticed that the interface has a lot of information to take into account. Bars on the left right bottom and top. Objective completion rate, primary special skill, health.....

I love the video and i just love how it looks everything about it......the only thing i want to know is like if there is going to be characters that play a big part in the game like the resitance leader you know something like that because i havent heard or seen any names of characters ingame that play a big part in the story....like say a partner that dies...if he has a name and background behind him.....if that makes sense to anyone haha

I'm glad that bots and hostages cannot be destroyed or killed, only incapacitated. That makes it more balanced.

I can't wait!

I missed an animation for the blockade build by the engineers. That looked a little too simple. *plop* "Oh look, there we go!"

I find it interesting that you can still run at full speed when carrying something. And that there is apparently only one size for carryable items.

Brother Chen for the Resistance and Captain Monoeke (something like that) for the Security.

You actually free Brother Chen in the first Resistance Mission, iirc.

So as long as something exists, there will always be someone outraged at it. A shame really, since no one has any idea just how balanced or unbalanced the Engineer is.

Then again, humanity as a whole is rather dumb.

This new SMART series looks incredibly polished, and the popup icons ingame look nice too.

Overall, the style of the video, and the concise presentation looks better than all the other previous videos.
