Getting back default files

Post » Wed Feb 26, 2014 5:45 pm

So I installed Better Males and didn't like it. I deleted some extra meshes (worked fine after that) and tried to install Hairy Male over. After that I got this really bugged out blurry chest texture that I couldn't fix no matter what I did. Hearing that closing steam, deleting appcache folder and opening steam again restores all the default files I deleted all the files related to males. However I still have the weird blurry chest, but now the face is all messed up as well. So uh... what now? Any suggestions? It took me a few days to find and reinstall the mods I wanted since my last reinstallation of Skyrim and I'm really not into doing it again (especially since this is one of the very last mods I wanted to add), but if there's no other choice I'll bite the bullet.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I'm so stupid. Meshes and textures aren't default files. But still, if I deleted everything why are my humans still messed up?

Strange, if you delete the lose files the game should look for textures and meshes in the BSA archives instead. What does it look like exactly? A screen shot could help

Try to https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335. That should re-download the files.
