Getting bored of skyrim?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:00 am

When i first bought the game a week ago i thought that i would be playing this game for some time, but the fun factor is slowly fading away.

Sure theres hundreds of places to explore, and tons of quests to do, but i hardly have any left to do, i've done dark brotherhood questline, i've done companions questline, ive done theives guild, and im going to do Mage's guild with another character. but I think that will be the same, very short. so far i've played 100 hours explored the entire map, i have 3 main quests and a handful of misc quests left to do. I am level 50 and it's just the same thing in every dungeon every time now, bandits, draugr, or falmer, the loot is allways the same and its just getting repetitive, i'm sure bethesda said that theres over 300 hours of gameplay? I also thought that the civil war Questline was rather dissapointing, and the radiant quests are just too repetitive to do. Bethesda need to release mod tools because i'm just bored of the game at the minute. anyone else feel the same way? The mods released at the minute are quite pointless and don't expand the game in any way.

Sounds like you're jaded. Take a break and play something else for a while. When Skyrim came out it was all I played for about a week. Now I'm back into playing Battlefield 3 and Dota 2 again.

I thought that Bethesda had said "over 100 hours." I was also disappointed by the civil war quest line. I have a question though what are "radiant npcs" and "radiant quests?"

^ Nevermind. Found it myself. Turns out it is really unrelated to the definition of radiant.

I say your just burnt out atm. 100 hours of playtime is a HUGE amount, maybe you should give the game a break for awhile. I wouldn't complain about the level of content, im sure there is a lot that you haven't done yet.

I've been playing other games, going out with friends ect, and i keep coming back to play Skyrim, but it's just too repetitive. I cba to start another character because i've seen most of the content on my main one.

It felt nice and shiny at first but now its fading and the flaws are really beginning to show. It cant hook me like a good rpg should. Shallow and lacking.

Yeah, I got bored after about 60 hours. I guess I got my money's worth - a buck an hour isn't too bad for entertainment.

The UI was awful and left a sour taste in my mouth, like Bethesda gave a big middle finger to the PC players.

What really ruined the game for me was the broken mechanics - like getting enchanting and smithing up and making gear that pretty much makes you invincible. No challenge = no fun.

The first 20 hours or so were worth the price of admission, just to feel like I was in a living, breathing fantasy world. I just think some serious work on the UI and then making their skill system a bit more balanced needs to be done.

Anyhow - glad to donate my 60 bucks to keep future fantasy RPGs coming.

I just hope Bethesda doesn't stay so lazy when it comes to PC versions.

There are so many options and so much to do I actually find myself creating new characters and getting lost over and over again.

They want us to give them suggestions to keep it fresh and exciting.

I say play with a pot on your head and be an unarmed kung-fu Zen Master.

One thing i miss from Oblivion: Enemys, they leveled with you and had more veriety. They should never have done away with loot scaling and leveled enemys, no matter how many complained about it, it was fun to face different enemys with different gear and different loot. Now every time i loot a bandit on skyrim its a few gold, a lockpick and some fur armour.

No but probably because I don't play it exhaustively like some people seem to do. I'm only level 13, and I've maybe reached 25 hours played since I got it on release day. And I don't feel like I've been neglecting it
