Getting error when re-installing...HELP!

Post » Fri May 23, 2014 3:55 am

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. but today re-installing again, after it detects my video options it gives me an error message:

"Failed to enumerate subscribed lists"...

WTH???

I don't even know what that means!

and I've already installed from disc as well and I'm still getting that message that I've never seen before.

I don't want to start adding my mods again (85!) before I can figure out what this error message is about.

I've already contacted Beth Support but haven't gotten a reply

does anybody know what this means and is it safe to start installing my mods again???

thanks

Verify your game cache files: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

The error means that Steam is having problems verifying subscriptions you may have to mods from the Steam Workshop. If verifying the game cache files doesn't work, try shutting down and restarting Steam. If that doesn't work, exit out of Steam, open your Steam folder in Windows Explorer and delete the ClientRegistry.blob file in the folder. Restart Steam and it should download a new copy of that .blob file.
