getting fo2 for vista

Post » Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:13 pm

I managed to find a bargain bin fo2 and I'm trying to install it but at the install screen my mouse won't move the cursor. I've tried running it in different compatibility modes without luck. Will it not work with vista or is there something I'm not doing?

One thing which happened to me with Vista (I've got Vista on one comp. and XP on the other) is having to run certain programs as "administrator." KOTOR 2 wouldn't run without crashing unless I had this checked off.

Give that a shot first.

This may not help you with your bargain basemant copy of F2, but Good Old Games (gog.com) has F1, F2 and Tactics versions that are Vista compatible. They are supposed to be reprogrammed to work with Vista..

The retail versions of Fallout, Fallout 2, and Tactics run perfectly fine under Vista with the exception of the Fallout 1 black screen glitch.
