Hi,

I've read everything I could find on getting FOSE to work on Windows 8 and I'm having no luck.

I can get FO3 to run vanilla, but I want to get FOSE working so I can use FWE.

Here is what I've done so far:

1) FO3 is installed outside of Program Files directory

2) GFWL is disabled and I activated the fake dll from FOMM

3) Game is patched to newest version and Unofficial patch newest version

4) Am using FOMM newest version

5) FOSE files are extracted to FO3 directory (I've used FOSE a ton on other OS's, so I know how to install generally)

6) I tried adjusting the compatibility to Windows 7/Vista/XP for all 3 of FOSE/FO3/FOMM

Nothing has been working. When I try to run FOSE launcher, I get an error message bar across the middle of the screen saying that the program cannot run on Windows 8 and to check compatibility with the authors of the program.

It seems like others have been able to get FOSE to work on Windows 8, but I'm having no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
