Getting frustrated with how many things are broken

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 8:52 am

-fury doesn't increase damage

-calmex increases crits by .2 instead of 2x

-yao gui gives 5x damage instead of +10

-wasteland magazine gives double guns on dead npcs instead of double meat on animals

-melee perk is broken

-bloody mess chain explosion never procs

-adamantium skeleton rank 3 doesn't give immunity to crippled limbs

-you can fall out of world in cookes house

-partyboy luck bonus stacks with itself to absurd numbers

-giving a settler a stealth boy crashes the game

-most unique quest misc items fall through the floor when placed

-settlement defense by Institute when allied to Institute causes no enemies to spawn and the quest doomed to fail

-dogmeat doesn't trigger any companion skills

-deacons companion perk gives the wrong dmg bonus

Like I get that it's bethesda and they are too busy swimming in money to bother fixing the game but come on, no one tested any of this? It's been in production for years and it's the smallest game yet.

A lot of bugs vary between player, some get lucky some don't, unfortunately you seem to fall in the latter.

I'm sure most of those issues will be adressed at some point, when is hard to say. I think Bethesda is focusing on players who can't play the game right now before they move on to bugs and what not.

For the size and density of the game I'm surprised I haven't encountered more bugs to be honest

The perk and bonus bugs he mentioned literally apply to everyone, the rest not so much indeed. And I will agree that FO4 has been way more stable than previous Beth games at release, still a lot of issues to be addressed though.

The only thing on your list that I have had issue with is things falling through surfaces. Have not had any issues with the rest of the list. And why in the great beyond would anyone want to give a settler a stealth boy? There's an easy fix for that, DON'T give them one, they don't need it anyway. Just sayin',

For an open world game like this that's a pretty insignificant bug list imo.

I hear you, what gets me is the arrogance of the silence. Can't they at least issue a small post saying that the're looking into issues and give a rough estimate on when the fixes will

start.

Why would they bother? There's a tiny few who will complain about anything and they have a wildly successful game on their hands. I would patch it with a DLC as it's doing so well bugwise.

The fixes will most likely come from the community . . . as usual.

Wouldn't be optimal, since all may not buy the DLC, but still wants a bugfree maingame :)

Only a few of those listed are game breakers, so yes, they should probably have done some hotfixes. But I guess they wait for a bigger patch (I hope)

They should have fixed the perks already, in my opinion. But if they release one huge patch now in January which fixes pretty much each issue adressed so far, i'll be happy with that.

Unpaid yes, but loved just the same :goodjob: I spent tons of time on my mods just as every other good mod creator does, and for me the best reward was people enjoying what I made.

Your're welcome, and thank you! I'm just sad I have to upgrade my rig before I can think of making any FO4 mods :sadvaultboy:

Well, that and a new semester.

I hear ya, OP.

I love this game to death, but I don't think there's a single aspect of the game that's bug-free.

I see very few. I have an audio problem on occasion but it's entirely because of my USB DAC setup, which is somewhat funky. Sounds really good but stuff trips over the USB audio bus when certain things happen.

Apart from that, almost none. I'm not sure what you are complaining about really. Various machines will develop exceptions to certain conditions which really cannot be predicted. These appear to be so rare, I recommend waiting for the DLC to patch them.

This is entirely PC, I have no idea what the console people are going through.

Well, most things to do with settlements really,ui,scripting,pathing,reporting..love the idea and feel it could be really immersive...if it worked as it should.

I'm not at all sure what you mean. I have built, moderate, compared to many settlement builders networks of settlements that works well. Generates cash and water for me and have generally happy communities. Others, as well, have managed to do quite well in this endevor.

The various interfaces could certainly use more documentation but it all works.

Sometimes I play on PC and use mods. And honestly, I kinda feel sorry for people like you.

You're doing dirty work in someone else's field, unpaid, yet the field owner still can yell and stop what you wanna do.

Yes, we the user thank you, but it really makes me cringe.

Apparently Saints Row modders are in the same bull-crap mod support a.k.a "we love modders and go fix this game by yourself but you still have to follow what we want and don't forget that we won't pay you for fixing our buggy game and gfys console version users lol kthx for the money all bye"

Well, the beds seem to need frequent re-assigning,the store traders don't seem to stay behind their counters, cows on the roof,(in lieu of fiddlers) also, when i'm away from some settlements the pip boy tells me that happiness is falling,so I go to sort it out only to discover there's nothing wrong.I don't fast travel so sometimes it's a 2k hike! There's many others too..folk trying to walk through walls instead of using doors, getting stuck or just plain disappearing.Being told that mutants had attacked and I wasn't notified and on and on..

(which is probably what you think i've been doing) ;)

I was amazed Marcy actually put her hands on the silly table. Still she's AWOL a lot. I don't care, the caps in the workbench are why I did this. The 'erosion' of various tasks actually reflect real life and the confusion, and lack of timeliness, in communications is hardly surprising.

Yeah, Carla need parking lessons. Do you get the good prices?
