Getting "illegal to loot dead bodies" out of my save : IV

hi all.

a quick question before I begin *another* new game.

Getting "illegal to loot dead bodies" out of my savegame?!

here I have wac and ownc installed, wac without the overspawn.

seems that I have tried to begin a new game, now, for about ten times. in *each* try there is a tiny fatal error where i have to throw in the towel and begin yet yet again.

oh goody! I have the newest enhanced economy installed and i overlooked just one TINY number, in the ini file.
I did not change the "illegal to loot dead bodies" to a "0"!!

as the bashed patch is redoing itself, *again*, now, how can i continue on without beginning yet again as i read these values might be saved in my savegame! every dead body.....

Oh i changed the ini all right. but if i find that everything in my saves is set permanently to "illegal", can i change this in the cs, or should just again enjoy those sewers?!

You could try doing a clean save without Enhanced Economy. I also seem to recall there being something in the documentation for EE about a keyboard shortcut you can use to override that when looting corpses; you might want to look at the docs for it.

NOPE. Tis *in* my savegame. if there is that Flag for each item, probably might have trouble editing my save.

this is getting Old, people. here this wonderful mysterious game is always just a bit out of my reach.

I quit twice due to finding that *everything* that i picked up had zero value!! it is only when the new enhanced enconmy with Price setting scripts came out, that i think i have fixed that. i also place economy to load after owcnd and wac..

how in the ?????? does anyone play with it illegal to open anything or to loot anything? seems the default enhanced economy ini is set for that.
like life, it is the Details that git ya! just a "1" hidden up within a long sentence probably will have me begin a new game....

not unless there is a cure for my savegame!

Holding down the legalLootKey (default: Semicolon, or the key to the right of L on non-English keyboards) will temporarily disable the illegal looting feature and allow you to legally loot it, which can be useful in case of special quest items, etc. If a mod adds a container that should be immune to this, please report it, and I will add it to the list of immune containers, making EE not touch it.

yes? i found it. now i will have to do this for *each* looting, for all of my 200 hours of gameplay!!

yes i might try to do a clean save. a redo, of course, of the bash patch each time.

or maybe i should just start over!!
