Getting To Level 75 For Legendary Dragon Any Advice

Post » Sat Dec 06, 2014 3:23 am

Hi, I'm level 42 on the Xbox 360 version just now and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on go how to get to level 75 quickly ( no glitching or cheating ). I know I can train up on certain skills that I hardly use i.e Destruction, Conjuration & Alchemy.

If I up certain skills i.e One Handed to 100 and set it to Legendary ( I've done smithing to legendary status ) will I rank up quickly if I keep doing One Handed attacks or Smithing because it's Legendary will it take more to level up this skill ?

Any advice of info would be much appreciated as i'm trying to get the full gamerscore out this game after putting so many hours into this game.

Level Crafting Skills -> Get to 100 -> Legendarize It -> Repeat.

For Smithing, I find making Bows is the easiest method. Low material requirements, and relatively expensive. The more expensive, the more experience.

For Enchanting, well, there is no secret. Just make a bunch of Iron Daggers, get a bunch of Petty/Common Souls Gems, and enchant until you drop.

For Alchemy, collect as much Wheat and as many Giant Toe's as you can. Extremely easy ingredients to get, and one of the best combinations to level up with.

100% reduction in Alteration cost. Fast travel while using telekinesis. Skill will go from 15 to 100. Legendary. Rinse and repeat.

I've never done it, but read about it at UESP. http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Alteration

Even without FT, Alteration with total cost reduction will boost your skill fast. Use Detect Life in a barracks full of soldiers. Wedge the button down. Take a nap.

Also, get a shield with generous fortify block. Wear high powered heavy armir. Go use it against a giant. Both your Block and HA will skyrocket.

Hit a dwarven ruin. Get lots of ingots. Make and smith dwarven stuff. Smithing will go up.

Or, sneak against the wall in the Bannered Mare. Position the controller so the stick is held in place. Sneak into the wall. Take another nap.

This would probably be the quickest way, though it still requires grinding Enchanting to 100.

Although, I guess (being high enough level) you could go on a Merchant Crawl ™ trying to find an enchanted set.

Sorry for being a pain but how do I go about getting the 100% cost reduction down. I've levelled up twice just having my magica restore 150% quicker and just been spending about 15 mins telekinising things in my house. I love Skyrim but after 400+ hours I'm beginning to find it hard to get a storyline etc it's just the usual asking innkeepers for work etc. I thank everyone for their contribute into this subject

Cost reduction is achieved with fortified gear: http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Generic_Magic_Apparel#Fortify_Alteration. If you equip four pieces, each with 25% or more in cost reduction, you'll have the 100% reduction; which means casting any alteration spell will consume none of your magicka no matter how long you cast it. You can get three pieces of gear from vendors or loot, but you'll need to craft the forth yourself, which requires the high enchanting skill others in this topic mentioned. That, or with high enchanting skill just enchant all four yourself. Personally, since you'll need to enchant atleast one item I'd just enchant all four instead of running around trying to get any from vendors.

Either enchant the items, or go around to merchants to find them. You're looking for "____ of Peerless Alteration." Ring, Circlet/Helmet, Armor, Necklace.

The wiki only lists three peerless (25% reduction) available from vendors: Head, ring, and chest. The forth slot, hand, is only available up to major (17% reduction).

Looking into it further, http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Enchanting_Effects, it looks like you could get three peerless (25%) (head, chest, and finger) and one major (17%) (hand), and enchant a necklace (neck). The base enchantment for fortify alteration is -8%. So if you purchace the four highest peices available, you can enchant a necklace using a grand soul gem, and get to 100% reduction even at level 15 in enchanting. :-) The wiki specifically lists neck, not hand, as an available slot for alteration. The lower level bracers (hand) available from vendors must be a fluke! It's the first I've ever heard of having five slots available for any enchantment.
