Getting Past the Red Exclamation

Post » Wed Apr 02, 2014 5:53 pm

Hey guys, Just wanted to drop a quick line of thanks to you all on this forum. I've learned a lot and you all have been very helpful. Thank you

I have started scripting a new quest where the player receives the quest through picking up a bag of gold on the ground. The player is then supposed to receive some objectives and eventually make the choice of profit over honor. Simple, fun, quick... except, I made my bag of gold from a duplicate of another common bag of gold. Now, my bag of gold is a red box with an exclamation mark in it. What must I do to get past this, get my money bag in the game so I can test my quest and find out if it all works?

That means it either has no model, or a model filepath that doesn't exist/isn't accessible.

Okay, so what are my ways of redoing the path so that I do not have to recode? Do I just make another duplicate and rename it, or choose something else entirely for my player to pick up and begin the quest?

You can just copy/paste the filepath. In my signature is my skyrim mods page. In the tutorials you'll find a video for creating a custom chair. It shows you how easy it is to copy/paste it, if you need help :)
