Getting Rid of Black Books

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 6:32 pm

Is there anyway to get rid of these once you're done with them, or are they permanently stuck in your backpack? I know people can go back to change their stuff, but the game doesn't need to constantly hold our hands. If we want to drop the books in the sea, like the good lady said, we should have that right.

Herma Mora will forever stick to you. Once you go japanese, you never go back. This is a one time thing.

Kinda wish I could lock them up in some Nordic barrow. Or a display case.

Well, my character only picked up the two that was required for the main quest - and even then, I didn't take any of the bonus powers provided. I could have got that number down to one, but I wanted to talk to the good lady again - the shaman's daughter - and she forced me to take the book back. It's not the worst thing in the world, I know, but I really hate quest items like this. Once the quests are finished, you should be free to drop them.

Considering they're weightless, they're not causing me much of a problem.

Agreed, and one will always have the option of going back into them.

Plus, the use of the chests for temp storage is quite nice.

ya know- I've noticed people have mentioned these book/chests before but never connected the dots as to the point of it. lol. Basically a way to carry all your loot from point A to point B

The weight never bothered me. It's the pointless clutter. It's why I don't like never-ending quests in my log, or duplicates of the same quest in my log. I don't have OCD, but when it comes to games, I like to be able to look through my stuff and see what I want, not what the game is forcing on me.

I would like them to stay "usable" but at the same time, be able to put them in my glass cases like the dragon priests masks.
