Getting Rid of Some Hair and Eyes

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:58 am

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but I have no idea what to search on.

I have "Elaborate Eyes Ren's Beauty Pack Full" in my game and there are a couple of things I'd like to eliminate. First, I'd like to get rid of the masks and blindfolds in Ren's hair. I'm not going to use them and it makes choosing hair take forever.

I can live with that, but what I'd really like to do is fix the replacement for the default Vampire Eyes. They're grey pupils surrounded by black now and I'd rather have the default reddish eyes to be honest.

Is there a way to do this? I don't understand Oblivion file naming conventions enough enough to want to experiment.

For removing hairs you don't want from hair list:
1. Open plugin with Construction Set.
2. Go to Character->Race, select any race you want, click on 'Body Data' tab.
3. You can delete eyes or hairs you don't want from Eye Colors/Hair Styles list.
4. When editing is finished, save the plugin.

For vampire eyes, if you want to use defualt vampire eyes with Elaborate Eyes, you have to extract the texture, then convert it for EE. Otherwise, you will have 'googly eyes' problem when using it. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5810 is modder's resource which holds converted eye textures from various eye addons. You can pick any texture you like to replace vampire eyes. Also, recolored Ren's eyes by Flonne were converted for Elaborate Eyes by two people(bnnfish and me) independently. You can grab bnnfish's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22667(also included in Modular Beautiful People 2ch Edition). One of recolored eyes are similar to vanilla vampire eyes.
To change vampire eyes:
1. Open plugin with Construction Set.
2. Go to Character->Eyes, search for eyeVampire.
3. Click on the button(with eye texture path and filename), choose eye texture you want.
4. Save the plugin.

Turns out Ren's Hair is fubared in my game. Even without trying to do anything to it in the construction set all the hair is black--it won't recolor. I don't recall having that problem with my old computer, so I'm at a loss as to what's going on.

I downloaded the Beautiful People Fionne's eye resource and the textures in the .jpg were lovely. Yep, found one I would love to use but there's no indication as to which eye color corresponds to which file so I have no clue as to which it is I want. And there's no picture at all with Cenetha's eyes, so I can't even figure out which one to look at.

Maybe I just need a Construction Set 101 class....

You can use http://developer.nvidia.com/object/windows_texture_viewer.html or http://www.irfanview.com/ to see eye textures.

** Centhena's texture pack includes converted eyes from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4789, Capucine's eyes(they're old ones, though), http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4498, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3702, Ren's eyes from her beauty pack, and several small addons.
