So I need to play further in this mission, but I cannot.. I sit in the lounger then a screen comes down saying "PLEASE STAND BY" I've stood by for 30 mins now, it appears stuck. Any fixes?

Sounds like best bet is to reload the save.
I've had a similar issue, but my game isn't stuck. When I'm about to go into the dream the screen goes white and the game crashes. Specifically, my drivers crashed and they are recovered subsequently. This is the only part of the game my drivers have ever crashed, so I doubt its specifically a GPU issue. I also know others are having this issue as well (hardware ranging from decent all the way to high-end), which is somewhat game breaking as this is the main quest line "Dangerous Minds."
Yes, it is. Disallowing my ability to progress further, any ideas on a fix?
I wish I knew. I haven't figured out a workaround yet as I've tried everything from tampering with settings, loading a different save, leaving and going back to it later, nothing seems to work. I know a few have used console commands to just skip the quest, but I've heard they've subsequently ran into issues with a major NPC not showing up in a particular location. I think this issue is fairly widespread, but I don't know how much. Regardless, it's definitely a serious bug as it's affecting progression in the main quest line, which also affects progression in the BoS quest line as well. If anyone has any possible solutions, that would be great. Sadly, I think the only thing that may fix this issue is BGS releasing a patch to correct the quest for those having this issue.
What are the console commands? I just need to finish this up. This is my 2nd time completing this just doing it for fun now.. Planning on doing a speedrun? What are the commands?
There are several quests where I get CTD's during scripted events like this. I've always been able to get through them with some patience and trying over again, though, and I've certainly never had it just get stuck and not do anything like the op is describing. If you've tried multiple times and it keeps happening you may have to start all over or just wait to do that quest until there's a patch.
If you're on PC you could use console commands to advance the quest to the next stages. If you're on console waiting or starting over are probably the only options aside from trying again and again.
Go look up the quest ID and set it through the console to completed. Bummer because the quest is quite visually beautiful, but sounds like the kind of bug that will be patched at some point.

You'll need to find the quest ID. Try typing - help
It'll be Setstage [QuestID] [QuestStage#]. You can look up the quest id and stage numbers on a wiki.
Again, I warn you a few have tried to skip the quest and they've subsequently gotten stuck in a later quest. While using console commands can be useful, it can also break your game, so use them at your own risk. I'm personally just going to keep trying or more than likely wait for BGS to patch it so it's no longer an issue.
I really do hope this is a known issue and hopefully BGS in the coming weeks will patch this along with various other issues players have had progressing through the main quest. If anything should work, the main quest would be the one feature they really want as polished as possible.
I'm sure they know about it by now and are already working on fixing it. That's not to say we'll necessarily get a fix for it soon; there's no telling what's actually causing this problem or how hard or easy it may be for them to fix. Here's hoping.
All-in-all, though, this has actually been one of BGS' least buggy releases so far, maybe even the least buggy. They seem to really be figuring out this whole making video games thing
Yep. I think they planned better with this release than they did with Skyrim. Before Fallout 4 was even announced the team was almost done with the game. For most of the months before release BGS was just polishing and bug fixing. I think it's also worth noting BGS makes some of the most ambitious games in the industry, so it's a bit unfair to be too hard when there are endless possibilities of how their games can break due to so many systems working together. That being said, the game has largely been a polished experience. Then again, I can't say I've personally ever had an issue with most of their games as the primary system BGS games tend to suffer on was historically the PS3. I don't really consider harmless or humorous bugs to be a detractor from the game. My only concern are game breaking ones that prevent progression.
