Good thing i didn't watch it...

My TV broke in a lightning storm, but i think they should of showed us todd playing the demo (though they weren't allowed to bring cameras where ever todd was playing the demo). I don't see why not, we already know what happens very specifically in clear detail in the demo (thanks to critics).

Well it's a pre-alpha build so there's probably some things that may not reflect well on how it will be in the final version so they dont want to color peoples opinions against it unecessarily. At least that's all i can think of off the top of my head other than trying to torture us by not showing it lol.

Idiot! Out of all the questions that could of been asked, he asked if we could have playable dragons? Bah! Dragons? Playable? This is the TES....The freaking Elder Scrolls damn it. Why not ask if we can be a vampire, or a werewolf, helll, even a Lich...but a damn Dragon he had to ask? We already play as dragon-born, spitting fire...yay we spit fire..whatever. But he had to ask some stupid questions......

What were you expecting? We're still 7 months out...any info is gold.

True, but you'll get dissapointed if you expected a larger amount of gold. It was to much hype around it all.

Wanting to be a dragon is serious business.

He could have asked about the alchemy system, the merchant system, crime system, crafting, more about the new activities, fishiing, enchanting, skills, racial bonuses, unique NPC's, grabbing items, animations, and so much more.

I was certainly expecting something more than that! How very anti-climactic. More of the same regurgitated info we've been inundated with all week. Would have been better to have released something exclusive for GTTV to bring this 'press' week to a close.

Now we get another two months of discussing what M'aiq will say in Skyrim, debating attibutes vs. perks, trying to figure out how best to kill a giant, maintaining our weekly quota of spear, crossbow, mount, fast travel, and children in Skyrim threads, and all the while pondering why we can't levitate anymore.

dont forget the 900 more vampire/werewolf and romance in skyrim topics

Or the pointless threads on Dragon-born and dragons and anything related to the main quest. It would be good if Bethesda just announced if these features would be in the game or not to save everyone some trouble. Then everyone can go and complain about dragon-bones and whatever the helll the main quest has in store.

Why couldn't they be like G4 and just put that interview on the website and not hyped it.

I remember when I used to frequent this section scouring for any piece of information everyday, then get disappointed when all we get is that our character has two legs and a rigid butt.

Feels good to have forgotten about Skyrim. I'll just buy it when it's released!

Kinda get the same feeling. Feels like a waste of time.

I just wanted to get my opinions known about certain things and was hoping to affect something somehow in a tiny little way.

Also confirmed we won't be playing as dragons.

I am dissapoint. :(

Wow, am I the only one that is glad I don't have to play as a dragon?
I mean, c'mon, a large point of the game is to kill all the dragons that invade or fly overhead. Why would you want to be one?

Because it's good the be the antagonist. But this game is not made to play as dragons. I would rather kill people, terrorize villages and feast on men while devouring helpless maidens. But this game, we have to be the "hero". That is why transforming into something else is important.

Maybe it's because I'm well rested, not having stayed up for the interview, but I don't feel that way at all. After the orc and khajitt (with lanterns!) screenshots, anything else is gravy. Indeed, one of the post-event articles specified where you get one of the shouts, so I'm wondering if I need to start spoiler-avoidance maneuvers sooner than expected. Reveals are fun, but I don't want to know too much when I slip the disc into my D drive. I want lots of "I can do that!" moments in-game.

Fair enough. I was simply referring to the build up as if there was going to be major new information.

Looks like it'll be E3 everyone is waiting for. But yeah, I wouldn't want the game ruined and I would still like to see surprises as far as features go.

I was going to ask for a link, but judging from the reactions toward the interview I better not. Did they really ask if you could play as a Dragon? Really? Well, the show is for "casual" gamers who probably didn't even know Skyrim had been announced. So instead of being informative it's meant to be childish and pointless. That's the way that gaming journalism is going these days.

The ONLY new info really was confirmation what the player could breathe fire as one of the dragon shouts. They definitely could have better used the Skyrim segment with better questions. But they're saving that all up for E3. To be honest it was pretty much was I expected it to be.

The fire breathing shout was cool new info, but I wouldn't have stayed up until midnight to watch the show had I known that was all they were going to unveil. My first impression after watching the show was that it was a waste of an opportunity to showcase the game; either to hardcoe fans or to those who might not be familiar with the series. Going over details of the game that are already known to TES fans, and not talking the basics of the game to interest unfamiliar gamers failed to capitalize on the marketing opportunity.

If they weren't going to excite us with new info, they should have touched base on the basics of an Elder Scrolls game to attract new players. Talk about the character building aspect of the game. Get into the lore, especially regarding Skyrim. For someone not familiar with the series they could have watched and thought that the game consisted of a white male wearing a horned helm who runs around slaying dragons.

I realize that Todd was giving an interview, and the show is dictated by GTTV. In fact, I was completely unimpressed when the interviewer asked if you could play as a dragon. Only a minuscule amount of homework needed to be done on his behalf to know that that is a completely stupid question and a waste of TV time. With that in mind, I can't help but feel that their spot on a major network didn't fully capitalize on the opportunity.

Yep....pretty slim. You will not be able to play as a dragon and there is a fire breathing shout. That's about it.

Yeah man, and the interviewer asked some really stupid questions...."Can u play as a dragon" That was just lame.
