I've been on vacation this past week and have had limited access to the interweb. That doesn't mean I haven't gotten some work done though. In all of my spare moments, I've jumped on the laptop and have worked on the mod side of this. I have acquired a whole *heap* of data to send to the uploader. There's still much more than I just need to finish scripting out (some of the harder stuff, such as currently equipped items and numbers of kills.) I intend to sit down in just a few minutes and get all of that stuff to display.

Gentlemen, it is time once again to take up your testing. :goodjob:

There is a new download available. All that is changed is the esp.

The setup process has been ever so slightly modified. There is also now a menu when you equip the log that gives you a few options.

There is quite a bit of data that will be uploaded now, though all of it will not yet be displayed. I am working on it though. Some are showing now, such as current time and weather.

Have fun!

Gentlemen, it is time once again to take up your testing.

Everything updated without problems.
It was fun coming up with My Mood and Current Activity, even if they aren't displayed at the Office yet.
And thanks for the reward for having read the ReadMe. :D

This is really starting to feel like a natural part of MW now. :goodjob:

Looks like this is coming together quite well, I'm going to have fun playing around with this when it's done.

I'd do testing for you, but I'm a terrible tester, ooh, just reminds me, I still gotta go test something I'm supposed to test. :bolt:

The latest release works fine except that it choked my game during the parts where you enter info via the keyboard (PIN, ID, Activity). Or, rather, it behaved very strangely, freezing up everything for five-ten seconds, then I could write, then freeze etc.

Also, failed uploading the save.

What version of MWSE/MGE are you using?

What error did it give you when uploading?

Hey Fliggerty! Sounds great! Can I sign up? Wasn't sure if it was open to everyone.

The internal one in MGE 380-116. Might have been my game as it is a bit unstable right now, but it was a new issue plus I had no problem with the last release.

Error: uID/PIN error.
Check your ID and PIN.

I entered the correct uID/PIN, I think. I have two chars named My if that might be confusing? (Would be nice to be able to delete chars btw.)

Pluto, might I persuade you to take down that link? I didn't want to allow the site to be too publicly available until I am positive that all security issues are negated. Also, I want to control the testing a bit so I have an idea as to who exactly is involved so that I can ensure credit is always given where it is due. Thanks! :goodjob:

Coroth, if you don't get the link Pluto provided, feel free to PM me either here or at GHF about it. I'm happy to have more help in testing.

I intend to add the ability to edit/delete characters very soon. Also will be provided the ability to retrieve your PIN should it be necessary.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

I'm going to work now on finishing the display of factions, then I'll set up the ability to edit/delete characters.

Tried again to enter activity via the keyboard - on two separate loads. The first time it freezed up the game completely (as I clicked Enter Activity), so I had to alt+tab out and close it down. The second time much as when I tried it above, i.e. it freezes, works fine a second or two, freezes etc. Some weirdness there.

Just tried it out.

-Deleted all old character profiles (easy to do, and a great option)
-Created new profile

In game:
-Fliggertys arrival and departure seemed natural.
-nice reward. it's just the right thing.
-The instructions were easy to read and follow.
-No problems with input. It lagged for maybe 5 seconds before I could type the Char ID. But that's faster than the MWE Journal.
-I'd suggest maybe adding a small disclaimer about not alt-tabbing if you're using MGE.

Uploading:
-Fast, easy upload from exe.
-mod list looks accurate.
-Some stats don't show up yet:
Health, magicka, fatigue,
Reputation and bounties,
location and almanac.
-Is there a way to tell if a player is not in a faction? The faction list is confusing right now.

So, all in all, excellent work guys! :goodjob: It's moving along nicely.

I'd say an ID retrieval option would be great, just in case. And a picture delete option for avatars and full profile pics, too.

Well, if this was concerning my post above I only use it to get out of a freezed game - I know it doesn't work as it should with later MGE releases.

That would only apply to fullscreen mode - alt-tabbing in MGE windowed mode is quite stable. ;)

Do a lot of people play in windowed mod?
I just mentioned the MGE thing because alt-tabbing out of fullscreen (which I assumed was the way most people played the game) would "break" MGE for that session. I can just see this freaking out the people who don't bother to read read-me files.

Arkngt: Nope, it wasn't pointed at you. Just a general thought I had while in-game.

-clip-

Those people who find the need to often alt-tab while playing MW with MGE installed are likely playing in MGE's windowed mode to avoid the instability.

The main point here is that your suggestion for a disclaimer would only apply to those playing in fullscreen mode. It's a good suggestion, just needs some clarification. :)

You don't have to alt+tab, that's just an option if you want to update the Census page and keep playing.
Otherwise just exit the game, then update.

Thanks for the detailed report Marbred.

Something is wrong though. It looks as though the contents of the extended data file are somewhat offset. Would you mind sending me the file found in your Data Files\MWSE folder with the name your_characters_name_data.cne so I can take a look at what went wrong?

Arkngt: it looks as if you got things updated properly. I trust you are no longer getting the error message?

Edit: Marb, after looking closer at it, it appears as though none of the new extended data was uploaded. Did you download the most recent esp?

I think it might be because I didn't clean my save before using the new esp. I haven't tested that theory out yet though. I will in a little while though.

I'm willing to bet that is the issue. The main recording script would be in your save file and thus not be updated. Definitely something to add to the testing readme.
