GHF Presents: Census and Excise Office

30 year old laptop? That's older than me. Is it running DOS 1.0? Unfortunately DOS 1.0 doesn't support MWSE. :P

Peachy recently got me the latest version of the updater. I have a few changes to make to the mod (hopefully I have finally eliminated the CTD problem) then I will have a new download available soon.

Should we support that in the next version? I might be able to rewrite it to use pure C, not sure what UI system to use though. :P

I sent Fligg a new version of the EXE a couple days before GHF went down with some new stuff and a few fixes (better support for extra data and better error messages), and I'm pretty sure he got it and was working on the ESP. But, with him working for the company hosting GHF, I have a feeling he's busy there.
There's a few things to do with the scripts and such (both in the ESP and on the server), so once he gets those tweaked, I think things will be ready for an update.

Ladies and gentlemen...pick up your BETA testing hats where you last set them. The next versions of everything are ready and available.

I believe we have finally corrected the two major bugs that have been plaguing us:

-- CTD's after killing an NPC
-- Character's with special characters such as ' in their names not uploading properly.

These are the last two major bugs that I have intended to address before release. So once we confirm that these are fixed, we are ready to rock!

There is, however, one last thing that needs to be addressed. Have you noticed that a lot of the badges are the same? Many of them are just place-holders until we get some others made. Well, we all know how un-talented I am when it comes to the graphic arts. So who's going to be my knight in shining armor and join the ranks of Ultra Cool Special Census and Excise Graphics Contributor along with painkillerrider who did the ones that we do have? :goodjob:

Wow, this is impressive. I would have never thought something like this would be added to morrowind, but it seems like an awesome idea. Keep up the good work :D

So a few still had the CTD problem after this morning's download. I put in some really redundant lines that set variables to 0 that already should have been set to 0, and they are longer having the problem. So if you downloaded if today, get it again. ;)

Yes, but you will have to manually move the necessary file (extended data and save file) over to a system with internet.

Hm.. I uploaded a character, and a screenshot. How do I change my profile picture?

Awesome work here, Fliggy Wiggy.

Cool, thanks. I imagined that was how it works, just wanted to check. :)

That's like attacking your boss and having your career crash.
Sorry... couldn't resist.

This definitely has me interested, though.

Go to your character's profile. There is a button there that has a drop-down menu. You can upload images from there.

I attacked Fliggerty and my game crashed.

I've tried attacking Fliggerty on a few characters today; I haven't seemed to have run into anything problematic myself (well, except for getting slaughtered horribly :dead: ).

I did notice however that when I upload my journal, there seems to be only be an incomplete first entry listed.

Any updates yet?
I'm really looking forward to this, sounds like a lot of fun. :)

Will it be ready for Beta testing soon, or do you need more testers? If so, I'll make a twitter account and help out, otherwise I'll wait.
Keep up the awesome work Flig. :foodndrink:

All that is needed right now really is making the last few badges. I am sorely pressed for time these days, and will be until after the middle of April. So unless someone else is willing to make them for me, the release won't be until then.

Congrats on all the progress.
I haven't been able to play MW for a few months now, so I haven't been following the Beta lately. But when I'm done traveling I look forward to using the official release.

Ok, I am ready to rock now. Let's get this done. I only have a few more small details to see to. In the meantime, I want one last round of testing. I am so grateful to everyone who has helped so far.

Consider this the "last call" for testing volunteers!!!
