GHF's Top 100 Morrowind Mods of All Time

Post » Tue Aug 24, 2010 6:53 am

With the upcoming release of the next game in The Elder Scrolls series, we have turned our thoughts to reflections of what it is we love so much about these games. For most of the staff at Great House Fliggerty, we first played Morrowind, and fell in love with it. And of course the reason we are all here is due to our passion for Morrowind mods!

We have compiled a list of our 100 most favorite Morrowind mods of all time! These are the gems that we have played, replayed, developed, watched and participated in WIP threads, etc. Many of them are mods that we will add to every game we play, though some are ones that we've played once and always remember. Whatever the case may be, these are our favorites.

We are first presenting you with mods 100-80, in no particular order. We compiled our list by first presenting our top 10 personal favorites, and expanding from there. The top 20 are ones that were chosen by multiple staff members, or otherwise endorsed repeatedly as we worked on this list.

Over the next 20 days we will be presenting 20-1, one each day!

So what mods would you put in your top 100?

I am very honored (and a bit surprised, to be honest) to see my mod come in at #95 :D
A Thank-You goes out to everyone in the community for enjoying it. :foodndrink:

I've been working on a "Pluto-Recommends-Mod-List" for awhile now... this is a good incentive for to me finish it and get it posted on GHF.

edit: do you think the Bethesda Blog might feature the list, when it is all done?

What would be cool is a list telling which of the 100 are compatible with each other.

Well i guess we all have different tastes and I suspect what you are showing here is not necessarily mods that are recommended in a load order but just ones which have made a difference in playing Morrowind

here are the mods which made the biggest impact for me in Morrowind

1. MCP - I'm so grateful Hrnchamd - especially when you instituted the rain fix I suggested
2. MGE - The sole reason I bought a new computer.
3. Vurt - ok so he's not a mod but I nearly cried when i saw his grass and shrooms in Morrowind so anything by Vurt has moved me
4. Louis Beauty shop by Ren - this really opened my eyes to beautiful characters - my innocent Breton Mage with the big brown eyes and long black hair who unsurprisingly was called Illuminiel
5. Better Bodies - they were simply better
6. Better Clothes - again simply better
7. Qarl's Bottle replacer - I just loved the bottles
8. Clothiers of Vvardenfell - introduced me to Badkarma's amazing male clothes, Ladyrae's wake me up colours and Korana's stunning Tavern (shame it gave me landscape tears)
9. Bath Shoppe - I still love it
10.The Tylwth - Korana gave me wings and new vision though visiting the tree always gave me CTD
11.Harborgolfer - who released many one off faces on this forum - they inspired me to go do my own faces
12. Ice's Robes - I used this for years - loved it
13. Asgard by Grumpy - taught me to think big and differently when it comes to designing homes
14. LGNPC - Seyda Neen - I love the whole series but as this began the series it has a special place of affection from me
15. Nioliv's clothing meshes - what a fantastic resource
16. Phijama - again numerous mods - his bows were works of art
17. Hilyga - Plangkye brought a whole new feel to my game and made me want to create stories around her clothes
18. Darknut - I think I use all your replacers Darknut - creatures, armours whatever
19. AOF - replacers again - completely changed Vivec for me
20. Bobs Armoury - spent hours in the armory trying on different combinations of clothes
21. Jeremy McQuinn - loved all his armour retextures especially the jet black one
22. Dodge by Aragon - pre-MCP this was important for unarmoured
23. COM - thanks Emma
24. Princess_Stomper - too many house mods to mention but I still recall the party in Suran - I drank so much mazte that night
25. Atmospheric Sound effects
26. Wrye mash - how can i play without this?

Maybe I'll stop here - all these mods made a big difference to my game experience though
