I actually had to turn the difficulty down from Very Hard to Hard for this fight... Its rather unfair for a sniper because you have no room to maneuver... But I chugged a whole bunch of chems and went crazy with Magnum shots from my Caravan Shotgun because I was out of ammo for everything else.

Level 11 if I recall correctly with a Wasteland Doctors outfit (ie no DR), Guns around 75 and a fully repaired and modded .45 SMG (with the Grunt perk for the extra 25% damage), taking head shots in two rounds of VATS. Even then the only reason I survived (the third try;) ) was a Survival skill of 50 with Healing Poultice and around five different food buffs stacking to heal me as I "bravely ran away" waiting for the AP to regenerate.

I had thousands of stimpacks on me thanks to Dead Money and my full upgraded holorifle along with 100 energy weapons. I did get backed into a corner when she split into three bears, but I just kept firing at their heads and pumping stimpacks.

How much damage does Ghost of She do on very hard hardcoe, anyways? If you kill any of the three clones, do they all die or is there a true Ghost of She you need to kill? I ask because I made sure it never touched me.

The moment I got there, I thought it looked like a setup so I was cautious. Ghost of She spawned and I hit Turbo and started back-pedalling. Something was blocking my way so I was like "move bish!!" at my companion until I realized there was a wall of pure friggin' fire blocking the way. So, I ran like freaking mad to the left, Ghost of She went after my companion and I unloaded. Then the clones spawned, I kept unloading, thought "wait, this can't be right," and took a guess at which one was the "real" one. Sure enough when the one I was aiming for died, they all died.

Because I'm an idiot:

- Annabelle for the initial shot. (YES, I brought a missile launcher into Honest Hearts..) - Half Health Damage for everything.
- Quite literally stacked up on food / stimpack regen (I get hit for a third of life and I pretty much regenerated it in less than a second.)
- Some chems I guess.
- Mantis Gauntlet afterwards, just picking off the ghosts and then the Ghost of She.

Honestly, I got caught up at the very beginning because, I believe this is a bug, I would get quite literally a grey screen at the start. Could be because of mods, but I made it through in the end.

Next character I go through Honest Hearts will be much easier as she actually uses a darn ranged weapon that doesn't hurt her.

When the screen flashed white, I instinctively hit VATS even though I couldn't actually see anything, vats outlined the bear. Double tap with a brush gun and that's all She wrote.

She split during the Vats animation, between the 1st and 2nd shot, but apparently VATS knew which one to keep aiming at, and she died from #2 before she could do anything.

I died a few times trying to straight-shoot it with the .45 Auto. I was level 8 on Very Hard, with 45 in Guns & 12 in everything else, no damage perks yet chosen. I did almost no damage at all for normal hits & even (non-sneak) crits weren't very great on this thing, so I pretty much had to:

1: rely on Follows-Chalk & healing him like mad, meaning I didn't get many shots in myself
2: a whole lot of stat type boosters, which I normally don't use at all, just to survive while keeping Chalky alive. If that hadn't worked (took a couple tries), I would have turned the difficulty down & reluctantly used VATS.

Had to do the same thing with the end boss as well, altho with him I got in a lot more shots myself. More room to run.

First time was a major O crap moment when Sorrows lady died in one hit then I fell in two.

Second time VAT + plasma grenade at the start, and 2 50 round clips full of .45 rounds.

Holorifle with MC ammo and 75 EW skill
Med-X
Slasher
and about 40DT between perks and gear (Stonewall was huge for this)

let me kill her in about 4 shots in free-fire mode (one missed due to backing into the cliff and losing targeting). I did get killed the first time as I was not expecting her to show the way she did.

The clones were not an issue since I never lost track of the original, and they couldn't do much damage anyway. It should be noted that I have modded out the 20% bleed-through as I feel it negated the point of high DT in the first place, so that probably took out a significant chunk of damage I would otherwise have eaten.

I'll actually be tempted to not do this quest on subsequent runs as it will lose something as a result of my knowing what's coming, but I probably will anyway as I hate missing out on unique items regardless of whether or not I actually use them.

Went in alone to spare my companion. Free aimed and VATS sniped the welcoming committee with Anti-Materiel. VATS headshot with .50 cal. Game over for her even though her three fire-bears made an appearance for a literal second while Ghost-of-She was dead but didn't yet know it. Then the three firebears disappeared before I could get a single hit in, and it was over.

Of course I reloaded numerous times before I figured out to work myself to the left on higher ground before approaching to trigger her appearance.

I'm not sure why I attempted to go hunting for a viscious supernatural she-bear with anything less than a full .50 calibers of leaded fury. It's pretty obvious after the first ten attempts that I was the only one entering battle without using my big guns from the very first shot.

I was in sneak mode when I walked in with a unmodded hunting rifle loaded with jsp .308

first two vats shot brought her down by like 90% of her health then she split into multiple parts. I straifed a bit and killed one of the ghosts in a free aim shot, then my AP had regenerated a bit so I went into VATS and put another headshot on one of them and luckily guessed the right one. Killed her with only firiring 4 bullets.

Would have been funner if I hadn't started with a sneak headshot though.
