Ghouls of Memor

Post » Fri Dec 03, 2010 11:45 pm

OOC: We're not in New Reno, we're in a bar about five miles of east of it. Collin is telling him to get into the bar.

IC: Brian grabbed the hand and shook it. "You're learning fast, Smoothskin," He smiled. That was the first time he had smiled in a long time. The wasteland wasn't his friend, nor visa-versa. The red-hair ambassador merely nodded.

"And it is time for us to leave, we head for Memor," The Ghoul stated. He opened the door and glared at the trigger-happy smoothskin. The doctor earned my respect. He's not the idiot I thought he was, now if we can get this slaver to wake up and smell the roses of the world. Then, she'll realize how many lives she has broken.

He took a few steps out and motioned for the others to come out.

OOC: Sorry for not posting anything, I was a bit busy. I'll try to cover everything I missed in this post

-----------------------------------------------------

The doctor threw another joke at the zombie and Christin couldn't help it anymore and started laughing. The zombie got what he deserved for blowing the smoke in her face. Then the doc cracked a joke about her aswell and her shooting skills. The slaver gal looked at him serious for a second and then continued chuckling. She didn't care much about the insult as long as the zombie was more offended then her.

Then Brian walked inside the bar again. Christin realised his feelings were really hurt this time, since there was no talking back or threats.

"A depressed zombie... That's what we needed." she mumbled and followed the group.

Suddenly she heard gunshots and look back at the door. The slaver smirked realising Brian was shot at again. This time it was a random wastelander that thought the zombie was from Memor. Colin, the only fella that was showing respect to Brian rushed out to take care of misunderstanding, the zombie rushed out aswell. Christin overheard some of the talking and realised it was settled peacefully.

She looked at the clueless wastelander. He got himself in a bit of trouble for messing with the ghoul, but it was better him then her. Then David suddenly started to protect the zombie. Christin turned her eyes to him and then back at the triggerhappy guy.

"Seems like everyone wants to shoot him, huh?" she chuckled while eyeing the zombie.

All this lack of respect reminded her of the Den. A nice place, if you asked her, but then again she was a slaver.

Brian signaled them that it was time to go. Christin wiped the smile off her face and stood up. The time for jokes ended, now it was time to get to the real work.

Since the NCR lady refused to take the rifle back the slaver decided to try her luck with the triggerhappy wastelander.

"I'm sure you'll find more use of this gun then me." she said while handing him over the rifle.

20 minutes later

DAVID WILLIAMS
I was hot already. It was only twenty minuted late but I was hot. The heat around here was more intense then out in Maryland. Then again, I haven't been in D.C. in over a decade. I began to think about my parents. How fun my dad and mom were, even though they were tight asses. I know now, at thirty some years old, that they were only trying to make sure I didn't grow up...like this. An old wasteland hermit spending his life issuing stimpacks to dirty wastelanders and occasionally getting drunk. Yeah...this was the life.

Then, just like that, there was a loud growl, followed by a snarl. Mole rat. As I faced it's pudgy form, it ambled over to me hungrily, looking at me with it's black eyes, baring it's thick, yellow teeth. It wanted some meat.

Shame you came at me.

I pulled out my 10mm pistol and put one in it's body and two in it's head. The fact that my bullet's made it to the animals skull wasn't planned, but I wasn't surprised. That's where years of shooting get you. The radiated rat fell at the second shot but the third was basically overkill. I always had a thing with overkill, feel it's necessary to make my point known that I am quite merciless when it comes to my enemies. I went to the carcass and stripped it of some meat with a basic tactical knife I got over in Kentucky. I wrapped it, stored it and kept it moving. Even though I'm a medic, I like to keep my inventory varied. A slice of bread and I could sell a molerat sandwich to one of these idiots. I put it in my backpack with my other medical supplies and then looked at my Pip Boy to make sure I was still headed east. Yup. I looked out into the horizon, not expecting a grand sunset, and was surprised to see a nice orange sky in front of a bright glowing sun. The sight made me smile, in this day and age, mot many people see pretty.

Brian shot the gecko coming at David with the laser-rifle. The silver scales and yellow eyes with green, cat-like pupils inspired fear in lesser beings. "David, your bigotry seems to have stopped," Brian questioned. "Why?"

The smoothskin is either growing up or good at acting.

The sun-set made the ghoul merely nod at the bliss. Night was on the horizon. "Best we get some sleep," the ghoul suggested.

They sleep and I'll keep watch. I know slavers, they can't be trusted. And David deserves his rest.

OOC: Mole Rat sandwich sounds yummy. :vaultboy:

Lucien Gray

Lucien soon realized how big his blunder was when several more human piled outside to see the commotion. One of the people got into Lucien's face and gave him fair warning, letting him know that 'Brian' the ghoul was in charge of their operation. The man then moved to where Brian was standing then shook his hand, Brian then motioned for the group to follow as they were heading to Memor.

Before he could move his feet the female of the group walked up to him and handed him a laser rifle saying that she had no use for it. Lucien shook his head slightly then placed the weapon back into the woman's hands. After adjusting his shades he said, "I have all the weapons I need plus I don't understand those energy weapons to well".

Lucien then leaned down and retrieved his 10mm from the ground then followed behind the group. A long day of walking had finally come to an end when Brian said it was time to get some sleep. Lucien found a semi-comfortable spot to rest but before he rested their was something he wanted to attend to first. Walking up to Brian, Lucien removed his shades placing them into a pocket in his duster.

Lucien now standing in front of the ghoul cleared his throat before speaking, "I'm sorry about earlier friend, when I first saw you I immediately thought you were a Memor ghoul without asking first". Once his short statement was completed Lucien returned to his picked out spot and began to nibble on a piece of brahmin jerky.

OOC: Sorry, I misread it.

Brian looked at Lucien and merely nodded. Perhaps this trigger-ready smoothskin isn't a complete imbecile. The ghoul aimed his laser rifle at Lucien. After a second, he pulled the trigger. The bolt went right past Lucien's ear into a pudgey, orange-skinned rat, a pig-rat. "Don't worry, I just didn't want you to get bitten," Brian said after a few moments.

Brian sat down and threw some of his food towards Lucien and the rest towards David. "I'll be fine," he stated. "If I start to get hungry, I'll eat." He layed down with his laser-rifle at his side. Sleep didn't come to him, too much stress. My physical needs are less important than theirs. If I die, I die, I've lived two, almost two and a half life-times.

The wastelander refused to take the rifle. Christin gave out a sigh and looked at the rifle again. It seemed like noone cared about the rifle so she just took out the microfusion cell and left it in the shack. The slaver grinned, the microfusion cell looked like it was brand new, even if noone probably made thouse things in the wastes anymore. Then she put it in her pocket and left the shack, following the group.

The sun was bright and the air was dry. Perfect time to get dehydrated and die in the middle of nowhere. Christin took her bottle again - it was half empty. She opened it and took a sip. Hopefuly they would have found a source of fresh water soon.

The sun slowly descended down to the horrizon and turned the sky orange. The heat started to drop as the sun continued to hide behind the horrizon. The zombie said it was time for a rest. Christin looked at him like he was crazy. For her this was the perfect weather to travel - she never liked traveling in the heat. But then she realised a slaver is the last person the zombie will listen and just mumbled:

"It finaly gets cool and we're about to stop?"

Suddenly she heard the sound of a laser shot and turned back. This time it was Brian. Christin scouted the situation and quickly found the dead pigrat laying on the ground. Her stomach was growling so that was her dinner. The slaver walked over to the dead critter and kneeled down. With one of her knives she swiftly opened it's stomatch and cut off a piece of meat from inside. It had been a while since she last ate raw rat meat, but it was better then sleeping on an empty stomach.

The slaver was sitting away from the group and was eating the raw meat. Christin felt more comfortable away from thouse people, since most of them didn't approve her profession, not even a bit.

Brian sat up and noticed the slaver-girl on the far side of the camp. He got up and walked over to her. "Get your a** over here with the rest of us," the Ghoul ordered. "You're part of my family. You, David, and Lucien are my family. Come, have some time with us."

She's just a kid, she doesn't know any better. When I was her age, I was an idiot too.

He patted her shoulder, "Christen, you don't understand. Your ignorance is your bliss." Brian pulled out a little bit of jerky that he had forgotten about and handed it to her.

"Don't eat that raw meat, it'll make you sick," the Ghoul warned. "Kid, you've just got to learn that you don't need to crush lives to build your own."

I woke up to the sound of...there was no sound. Besides sand brushing against cracked dry dirt, and the sound of rustling shrubs, there never was sound. Things must have been so different back before the bombs dropped. There were probably birds and cars and all other signs of past life that are now nothing but hollow metal and bones.

I got up and looked around, I don't see much though. But this time it's not just because there's not much to look at, it's more so because there's no sunlight. I looked out to the east, where we were headed and saw a thin ray of yellow crawling its way up to the sky. In the distance I thought I could see a fairly large building, but I wasn't sure if it was just a mountain or not.

As I began to equip myself, I looked over to where the slaver was before I went to sleep. She wasn't there anymore, but there was slightly old ratpig meat. I fished around my bag for one of my special syringes. The one's I use to freshen food. I made these back in Megaton when I used to work for that doctor named Church. All I needed was some Rad-Away, Psycho, and a few preservatives. The pshyco was mostly added for the extra kick. I injected the meat with my dse and then got ready to make me a fire.

I'm gonna get me some roasted pork today
