I don't get what this "tree" discussion is about, nor do I understand why Tom Servo was at the Skyrim showing.

This is the type of information that I want to take with a pound of salt. Just kind of mumbling small talk from someone who just saw it and probably didn't entirely understand what they were seeing.

EDIT: There's pretty much no good information in this entire thing.
He got so many things wrong and everyone asked the worst questions about it. It's terrible. I highly recommend not listening at all.

He said it looks fantastic but you can tell none of them are TES fans and are, instead, casual Oblivion/Fallout fans, so I really don't think their opinions are worth much to the typical fan that inhabits these forums.

yeah he said it looked good, but he said the combat and magic looked the same. He thought one of the finishing moves was scripted (which we know isnt the case) and he said that the spells in two hands was the same as oblivion, which is obviously not true.

Yea the magic is different now. It didn't funnel in your hands in Oblivion and you couldn't dual wield them either? Not to mention you couldn't combine like spells to pretty much super charge it.

I stopped listening to the Bombcast a few years ago, after listening to the Eurogamer podcast. Once you've listened to some learned and erudite Brits calmly discussing the latest games, the loud, show-off yanks of the Bombcast are just insufferable. And Brad Shoemaker's Skyrim write-up was embarrassingly awful. He writes like a mentally-challenged teenager.

Oh my God, terrible, terrible podcast. I got the feeling that they hardly knew what the hell they were talking about, and that the guy who actually went to Utah, either fell asleep at some point during the demo or was drunk for the entire presentation of the game. Not only that, but through it all I felt like I was listening to five insecure kids, unsure of whether they should be excited about, or critical of Skyrim and because of their insecurities and ignorance, they feigned indifference and draqed everything they said in sarcastic tones.
