Giant Dwemer Animunculi Confirmed!

Post » Thu Sep 29, 2011 10:05 pm

"He froze me in my tracks with an ice spell, and then something equal parts awesome and depressing happened: A giant dwarven golem mech – practically radiant in its gold plating – sent its immaculate fist right into my largely immobilized face." Taken from http://www.vg247.com/2011/09/27/crouching-spider-hidden-dragon-hands-on-with-skyrim/.

For those who never played TES before look http://www.imperial-library.info/content/definitive-guide-dwemer. Press Alt+F and type Steam Centurion.

Wouldn't doubt it if that was some type of Dwemer Centurion.

Yeah - sort of semi-confirmed by that Illusion perk that works on automatons, but still. Cool to have it fleshed out some more.

By the way, in my Impressions thread, I mentioned a "heavily armoured creature" that I saw in a load screen. It looked quite similar to the Sphere Centurion on that page, particularly the head shape. Suffice to say though, it looked a hell of a lot more awesome.

I think that this is the same dwemer golem that was in the gamestop store vid that someone made a thread about not too long ago.

This is awesome and everything, but try to keep SPOILER INFO out of the title. People can't avoid that unless they want to leave the forums altogether. Thanks.

There was concept/render art posted some time back of a Sphere Centurion. Really glad to see that they're putting back Dwemer ruins.

There was an interview with the Art Director (forgot his name) where he talked about the dwemer ruins and centurions comming back in Skyrim.. Been confirmed for awhile.
He said they were very high lvl enemies and that there would be several types.

For confirmation go to 5:00 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ub18SNXkuVQ&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PLB39D40C52623A44B video

And I agree with Morgueanna, keep the spoilers OUT of the title.

Yeah Sphere Centurions were confirmed long ago, but by "Giant" I guess he meant Steam Centurion because Sphere Centurions are about the size of the player. Wonder if we'll get to see some new Dwemer Animunculi in Skyrim :)

Considering he didn't ruin the plot with this I wouldn't go out of the way to complain, you're already out in left field asking not to discuss the game on a forum for discussing the game. Spoiler talk is only going to get worse in the weeks to come, if you don't want anything ruined it may just be best to leave now.

but enemies still react to normal strikes like they’re being buffeted by a particularly strong gust of wind and also they’re made of wood.
