giant eagles : V - Skyrim

I have to say it would be pretty cool to look up and see a giant eagle/griffin/cliffracer/whatever completely destroying a dragon.

in a mountainous region, i think it would be very cool to have giant eagles that live in eryies on the mountains. its AI would be very similar to dragons, without breathing fire and what not obviously.
it would be a noble creature and a very proud one at that. also it would fill up the sky a little more.

so do you think giant eagles would be a good edition to skyrim?

is there any mention of giant eagles in the lore?
