Villagers are so stupid... I like how the Gray-Manes gave up and sided with their new crab overlord in the end.

Actually seems worse to me, the way they just stand around or attack. In OB people tended to run away if a monster showed up.

I don't know why the AI doesn't act the way it should in a lot of people's videos I've seen.

Every time [censored] goes off in MY game, the puny villagers either cower in fear (crouch to knees and cover their heads) or flee back into their homes. The only people who stick around to fight are mages, sellswords and guards.

Yeah, they could actually be quite inventive when it came to hiding, or at least arming themselves with something useful. Still, the video was very entertaining and had the perfect soundtrack!

Youre right. It's happened the same way in my experience.

It's probably because the mudcrab has a weird aggro behavior that causes npc's to not be initially hostile. That's why the guards get angry when the mudcrab attacks them first. Similar to every other NPC.

You're right. Most NPCS generally do not attack or bother mudcrabs. This one is simply scaled up to a large size, NPCs have no way of knowing/understanding this. To them, it's just a Mudcrab.

Same with mine. The village that a dragon attacks is cleared out except for people crouching down hiding and people with swords who are fighting back.

Except that's not true and the data entry for the giant mudcrab is not the equivalent to a normal mudcrab. It's not just scaled up, it's stronger too.
The NPCs should make different actions depending on different entries that triggers their AI.

I'm not sure if they even have a giant mudcrab in the game.

This one is just upscaled in health and size.

They do react differently to different entitites. This is a mudcrab, so they treat it like a mudcrab. With the CK you could change mudcrabs to create the reactions that dragons get. Even if it is a giant mudcrab, it's pretty damned obvious, with the video as evidence, that the NPCs simply percieve it as being a mudcrab.
