How horrible, apparently as much as 6 people would have been killed, including the congresswoman. But there also apparently are conflicting reports.
It's the kind of story that makes me glad to live in the most boring place in the world.

At least they caught the gunman 
Not much of a consolation to her family though.

The guy was caught. And UMC isn't releasing whether she is dead or not.
Edit: She was shot point blank in the head though sooo....

Be cause she was SHOT not VOTED out, and the reasons for it are unclear as of now. So it's not political.

Current reports are that she is alive, and is undergoing surgery.

Other reports say she is alive and in surgery although being shot in the head seems pretty bad - just watched the end of season 1 of west wing on dvd last night where something similar happens - feels surreal to now read this on the news
