Only just had this, and I didn't even know it could happen, but Amren (redguard in whiterun, tasks you with finding his families sword in radiant), just gave me a bucket, and said something along the lines of "you're a good friend, have a gift".

I have not yet taken his quest, so I am not sure why he is "friendly" toward me, anyone know why he would just randomly gift me a bucket? (of all things, a bucket..)

Also, what other useless garbage has an NPC given you as a "gift" ?

I got a bucket before as well. I've also gotten random pieces of food, a wooden plate or whatever those are called.

Giving you a bucket now that something maybe hes saying something but trying to be nice about it. I got Nord ale once it was a good gift and book before I forgot the name of the book .
