"Girlish" Heavy Armors?

Such as the second pic here? http://amazingstoriesmag.com/2013/02/women-in-armour-vs-chicks-in-chain-mail/ Yep, I would wholeheartedly endorse that!

Somehow I doubt anyone wants to go fighting in what beyonce wears. I've honestly never spoken to a girl that wants to dress like that when they're trying to be taken seriously. Especially not Rihanna, given how she's not exactly a symbol of female strength, given that whole chris brown thing.

Idk y u are confused. I like RP but to an extent. I came on here to find HEAVY armor that doesn't look like man armor. Heavy typically means totally clothes, not like briasts everywhere. I 100% agree with you on the whole wearing armor into battle being practical. I don't think wearing this http://static-2.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/759-1-1321778776.jpg is at all ok RP wise. But I don't want her wearing Dwarven armor (no skin exposed) and not being able to tell what gender she is...

I have that same gripe, I love the look of the outfit that Olfina wears from the waist up and it would be perfect if it had a pants bottom instead of skirt. http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/archive/5/59/20120124042841!Olfina_Gray-Mane.png

That look doesn't fly for you so does that mean Man-Bear nipbles gives you wings? :P

Apparently there were some other actors and a plot and everything.

Ditto. I'm glad the series is equal opportunity when it comes to these sorts of things. This game seems to just love showing of the guys' biceps, for one.

Yeeeees! Exactly. http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/139/9/a/female_dark_leather_armor_by_Shattan.jpg

I loved to have female warriors in skirts in Morrowind. When the fighting began, the skirt came off, though.

Fair enough, I'd go with Imperial armour if i were you. It has 'bare' parts but also looks practical...and awesome! :D

... I'd have a hard time imagining the women is Skyrim having briasts smaller than a C-cup, with D being average. Then again, that's largely because I personally don't know any women with less than a C-cup in size. Furthermore, with the sheer amount of cheese, bread, and alcohol consumed, they'd likely be high-bodyfat. Especially because strong labor strengthens the pectoral muscles, giving stronger support and perking up briasts, making them look stronger.

But back to the armors - They reflect male anatomy: Carved abs that follow masculine torso structure, and chest plates that are built to resemble masculine pectoral muscle structure. I don't mind that the armors are smooth/flat chested. I do mind that those with pectoral plates bisect the underlying briasts instead of covering them (As in, if you strike the bottom of the pect-plate, it hits near the middle of the briast). And the heavy chitin armor (Which only has mild contours, and deflects away from center) cuts out beneath the shoulders instead of covering the chest completely like the original female Heavy Chitin armor.

I'm surprised how fast this thread reached page 4. Seems like this topic is even more controversial than Imp vs SC.

*salutes* For the empire!

Nah, but it does look cool. You can pair it up with other armours for a unique look if you want. Other than that, i'd say regular iron or steel. :)

The comment about my wife is for food and giving me money, the other one about people thinking women are weak, that sort of thing gives the wrong idea. Though yea, a lot of people assume because women are physically less inclined to strength than men, that women are weak.

Anyway, I don't think armor that shows off curves is practical, even the ones just with boob plate. Unfortunately, there's not many female armors to choose from without that in game that don't make you look like a refrigerator.

If you want something that looks somewhat feminine and still is practical, the best thing I can think of within my tastes is female orcish armor. There's boob plate, but it isn't sticking out much.

Lol, like I said I don't wear that outfit in my avatar in battle.

No I was saying that IN THE GAME Bethesda made the wives jut give money and food to their husbands. I don't beleive that's all they r for lol

And I was saying that generally, people beleive that women are weak, and there is a much higher majority of non- warrior women in skyrim than men.

So armor. Orcish... will give it a try thx :D

Am I talking about a game of battle re-enactment or is this a fantasy game?

Does fantasy game mean one has to throw away all sensibility? The only reason fantasy has the shtick of conforming to male fanservice is because gaming has mostly been a guy thing in the past, whereas now it's changing.

That's exactly what husbands do, as well, though... And if you marry Jenassa, for example, then you have a wife who will come out fighting with you (or stay home and open a shop because she doesn't want to just sit around all day). And there are LOADS of warrior/adventurer women, and women who do manual work (lumber mill owners...), and LOADS of men who sit around the pub all day and drink/are shopkeepers/priests/stewards/innkeepers/etc.

ha just messing with you man. My Orc berserker Grogg wears that same getup in battle and will sometimes throw on a bear hat for added armor and badassery ;)

All this nonsense of Skyrim women can't look like ladies when they're all battle-worn in heavy armor need to look at this guys screenshot: http://amnis406.deviantart.com/art/The-Hjaalmarch-Front-338424662

I want to fight by her side then be by her side beside the fire

I wouldn't say it's a much higher majority, there's a ton of female warriors in Skyrim. Whether that's bandits, guards, soldiers, adventurers, companions and so on. Skyrim, and Tamriel in general, is a lot different from the real world when it comes to people fighting, and what gender they are.

I want to post something relevant since My Favorite Armor is Dawngaurd Heavy Armor, but I am also paying very close attention to two Red Sonja outfit Works in Progress on a Website for Skyrim Mods

EDIT Orcish looks good in Vanilla, as mantioned earlier. I am a big fan of Heavy Armors, but too much Armor in Skyrim has overdone Boobplate. If You are a PC User, Bodyslide 2.0 can be used to tweak Armors in the Game to better fit a Users preferences.

Yup. Fantasy means, you know, in a fantastic realm or whatever, not 'stuff with boobs lol'. I don't think there's owt wrong with boobs, but there's more to women than that, and I like the fact that Skyrim actually does have loads of female characters who are strong in different ways - admittedly hardly any of the NPCs are really fleshed out, but for example just in Whiterun there's Irileth, Uthgerd, Jenassa, Lydia, Aela, Ria and Njada who are strong in the bang, pow, fighty way, but also Ysolda who's determined to work her way up to owning the Bannered Mare, Carlotta who works hard to provide for her daughter, Danica the devoted priestess, Olfina who... I don't know, she's certainly not afraid to speak her mind, Arcadia the slightly dotty alchemist - another businesswoman, Adrienne the blacksmith...
