"Girlish" Heavy Armors?

Though I admit, I'm quite tired of hearing that strong nord woman line from Olfina.

I usually just barge past her, rolling my eyes. Especially if I've got Lydia, Uthgerd or one of the many other Nord warrior-women by my side. Although I've now got a mod on which makes them only talk to you if you come quite close, so I haven't heard it for a while, I can't remember what she says if you're a woman. Something about 'don't worry, one day the men will take you seriously!' or whatever. Dude, I just killed about ten men on my way here from Rorikstead, I'm doing okay.

Meep.

I'm surprised no one has brought up enchantments yet.

It's the one thing in the setting that kinda blows the "sensible" argument out of the water. Well, it would if it were more accessible to the masses, especially in this time period of Tamriel... And if the "Shield" enchantment wasn't lost due to the Mages Guild disbanding...

Those briast could easily fit in those chest plates, not to mention the mod does have http://static-2.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/48160-3-1385938308.jpg. I do agree however that the Chitin armor doesn't look good.

This excellent video from the lovely Ms Jenna Marbles does a good job of explaining that (natural - I imagine this doesn't work so well with silicone, but that's not an issue in Skyrim) boobs are squishy and flatten quite a lot quite easily: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag4C0MFRnmE%C2%A0.

For those recommending Nordic Carved, I was assuming that wouldn't be form fitting enough for the OP. It has a rather flattened briastplate and butch proportions like the Orcish set. Which my female orcs wear, because badass is sixy in both men and women.

Oh for merlin's sake. How did this thread that hasn't even been open for 4 hours get so many posts?

I like boobs. There, I said it. I like female armours that SHOW boobs. What's wrong with that?

Okay.. I'm proving a point. But seriously, why the huge discussion?

:D I was kidding (I'm sure you knew that, just stating for the record in case someone didn't). Anyway, it's just a difference in what someone wants out of the game.

For me, I'm not playing the game to be turned on, so I don't really want females to look like that. I want them to look like badass shield maidens. Boob plate is directly detrimental to that cause. Usually. Some armors look fine with it.

Lol I was joking because thats what everyone was basically saying earlier in the thread when I asked for armor that actually showed off women's curves in Skyrim...

You know, now that I think about it, even if I were playing the game for female briastesses, or if I thought to be considered attractive, they had to show some sort of femininity in the armor, I still wouldn't like boob plate...

briasts are soft and firm, not metal domes from the Taj mahal (marble actually, but you get the point). I'm a man, not bender from futurama. Armor just isn't sixy in the traditional sense, so why try to make it such? If people want to show off the lovely lady lumps, why not let the light armor sets be more inclined to show that? At least then, it would make a bit more sense instead of metal domes.

Whether you're a man or a woman is irrelevant. Armor has to look like it can actually serve its purpose of keeping you alive in battle, not to make you look attractive. That bandit? You're trying to *kill* the bandit, not ask him/her out for a night at The Winking Skeever. I'm not even going to discuss the creatures and dragons your characters fight on a regular basis, I'll just leave that to your imagination.

Can't blame us with this sort of thing:

 That insinuation that women look like lisbians for wearing sensible armor... that sort of thing can be taken as sixist. Even if you're not, which I don't remember anyone saying. The comments were, as the others said, encroaching on dangerous territory, but I don't think you are a true sixist. This guy is a sixist:

Alright I don't really care. Saying that someone looks like a lisbian might be slightly politically incorrect, but not sixist. Anyway, I don't want to start a whole nother thing soooo....

:) :) :) :) :) :) (smiley faces make everything sound less abrasive) :) :)

Like I said, I don't think you're really sixist. If people wanted, they could (try) and flip it on me, like the Breton guy did and try to make me out as a sixist for saying that women showing off their curves don't look competent, strong or appropriate as soldiers and warriors.

Like I said, they can try it, anyway. And if this were tumblr, I'm sure they would.

I like my armours to look aesthetically pleasing. For me that usually means armour that fits well to my character's body shape, be it male or female characters. People may argue that boob-plate, and form fitting armour is impractical and unrealistic. I frankly don't care as long as it looks nice, and isn't completely ridiculous (i.e high heels, half naked etc.). Just my opinion.

Even talking pure aesthetics and looks, boob plate to me looks like the silliest thing ever.
