How can you look at those armors and find them aesthetically pleasing? I don't get it. All I see is crappy "armor" that isn't really armor.

Aesthetically pleasing armor is armor that looks well made. Boob plate is just... it defies every bit of logic. I mean. It looks like Madonna's metal bras.

Personal taste sinks ships.

Maybe I'm mixing up my idioms...

I don't know about personal taste, but boob plate looks like it sure could do some damage. Hope they don't trip...

I guess it's safe to mention I laughed for a good minute when I first saw the female Steel Plate armor?

It's worse than the female Orcish armor from Oblivion with all of those "nipble rings."

I like most of the armours in Skyrim. I'm not going to defend boob-plate though, and I'm sure there are other ways they could have designed them that would be both practical and look better. Still, I don't think boob plates are as atrocious as you people seem to think. It all comes down to the design as a whole really, I think it looks good some times and other times it really doesn't. I'm neither for, nor against boob plates.

FIrst off - I'm not saying boob plate is practical. My complaint is with the re-done Wolf and similar armors using the male mesh and texture. It's not the depth of the chest that's the problem - it's the height and shape that makes it masculine. A smooth, gradual dome over the chest (Possibly peaked in the center) is fine. What isn't fine on a female is armor that has plates that are built to resemble a male's pects and abs (Not complaining about armor that properly handles female abs, though. But the shapes are different), such as the Wolf Armor. And the female Heavy Chitin armor is more practical than the male because it provides near-total coverage of the chest and shoulders.

Most of my characters, male and female alike, enjoy this pasttime. Unfortunately, I struggle to get the males to look right due to the over-muscular backs. Then again, all my characters are Khajiit, so the less they wear, the more of their intricate fur patterns they can show off.

I've currently been working on a fantasy armor design that essentially takes the "Plate Bikini" and effectively inverts it, so that it gives nearly-full limb, back, side, shoulder, and belly protection... but it isn't safe for work to post anywhere. However, I think it actually looks pretty cool - at least on cat-people.

You won't get much opinion on khajiit aesthetics from me. I'd never play as one. Reminds me of furries, which creep me out.

Even as someone who plays Khajiit and likes them a lot, the idea of a "reverse plate bikini" sounds a bit questionable. I mean, I guess I can see that working on something quadrupedal, but on the bipedal Suthay-raht?

Though this is coming from someone who likes to draw his main Khajiit character in ridiculously frilly clothes.

Lol. Name calling by trying to list men that find the female shape appealing in a "fantasy game" as nerdy isn't going to support much of a claim.

In truth anyone on this forum is a nerd by most peoples standards. Otherwise we wouldn't even be spending time in a forum for a fantasy game but will be down the gym, playing football or taking a hot girl out on a date something. The only game a majority of gamers ("casuals") play is Call if Duty, FIFA & GTA. Those type of gamers would see us all as nerds

I don't really care what you think of my use of the word nerd, it's besides the point.

You can do all four, you know. Personally I believe my nerdishness is offset by owning a proper sword, not those silly katana things anime fans sling about.

If he wants, he can take out nerd and leave horny dudes. My point remains the same.

Oh great, now I'll think of that every time I see a Khajiit... You've ruined an entire race

Well I do all four, as do many others. Well, it's Thai boxing instead of football but you get the point. You had a go at Bear for "Name calling by trying to list men that find the female shape appealing in a "fantasy game" as nerdy" yet you do the exact same thing saying we'd be at the gym or whatever instead of on the forums... I hope you meant this ironically.
