im making a judgment based on my personal experiences. And using those as a basis i dont believe orcs speaking with japanese accents would work out well for this games demographic.

There are tons of east-asians in the west, and they are generally liked. Even here in Scandinavia. And tons of people here watch japanese anime.
There are several heavily east-asian influenced games that are very popular in the west aswell.
The east-asian immigrants behave well, have a interesting culture, and thus they are liked.

If you, however, are talking about muslims, then thats a whole diffrent chapter. But this is about the japanese.
Its ironic you put up that view, since japanese people in general are far more racistic to others, then what we westerners are. The people who are most racistic towards the japanese are infact koreans and chinese.


I dont want any heavy asian influences in Skyrim because it doesnt fit in. And i dont want orcs to be voiced with a japanese accent, for the same reason as i dont want imperials to sounds italian or nords to have a Norwegian accent, because it would sound stupid.
Of all the races, the orcs are actually one of the most least fitting to have a japanese accent, due to their physique. Wood elves or high elves i could understand, but not orcs.

Youre right in that it would be odd to have a japanese accent in a Nord setting.
Youre also right in that Japanese people are notoriously xenophobic.
As far as Japanese Vs Koreans Vs Chinese... right again.

But when it comes to being "well liked" youre dead wrong in my opinion. East-Asians (japanese, korean, chinese looking ones) are usually treated with derision and seen as good for only doing math, producing electronics and "loving you long time".

man whatever, let bethesda do their jobs, and we all know todd howard thinks that japonese rpgs are awaayy to.. fantastic. i don't know about him or about what other people thinks, but i don't want orcs to sound like asian because there is no point for it, yes they have honour and their armour look like samurai but thats it, orcs are extremely western, and they should belong in there, i personaly HATE ANIME RPGS, they're all the same , its amazing how there is no diference at all betwen them! we're talking about a ficitional race, praticaly every one in tamriel speaks inglish and maybe a side language, probaly, because the extremely roman-like imperials talk inglish, or because is some kind of akavir thingy, but it doesn't matter at all, because in the world of nirm, inglish is not inglish at all, is their native language, and by what we know, THERE ARE NO ACCENTS, only the khajjit and argonians talking in a awesome russian accent, probaly because they have diferent mouths compared to the other races, maybe for them its easier to talk like this, or its cultural, who knows!
