Give your Strategic Gameplay

Others have stated the fact that, they play with a 'gimped' character, to add to the challenge of gameplay. I too play with a gimped character. This type of playstyle forces you to come up with different ways of taking on certain enemies. Gimped or not, give your favorite strategy for gameplay.

Be it in general or a given enemy, using an exploit or gimmick, it doesn't matter. After all...This IS the cheats forum.

It would be interesting to see where your imaginations take you.

I was able to take out Umbra, at level 1. I play with the diff set at 100, so I need all the help I can get. Umbra is one of the toughest enemies you will find. She is a level 50 baddie, no matter the level you encounter her. I used the 'paintbrush drop' to do it. I blocked the door, at the top of the stairs from her with about 10 paintbrushes. Each one dropped about 6 inches apart and around waist high. I stood on the balcony and hit her with a fireball. Here she come. She ran through the makeshift blockade and struck me once. With a sliver of life left, I jumped down to the lower level, and ran to the opposite corner. Healing all the way. I waited for a few seconds...She never showed up. I had the Apotheosis staff ready. I slowly made it back up the steps, and there she was. Running in place. Stuck behind the paintbrushes. It was like shooting fish in a bucket, at that point.

Granted that, THAT staff would have probably taken her out with a bit of running around and backpedaling. ( the usual strategy ) The paintbrush trick worked out ok.

Sometimes my assassin will use the terrain to her advantage when facing a difficult foe. Jump on a big rock and shoot it full of arrows. Or maybe run around trees, anything to keep the enemy from beelining to her. Maybe you could consider that an exploit, since the AI pathing is not that great, but I also play with FCOM, so it balances out.

I also use deadly reflex, so I use the ambush attack any chance I get.

I use the strategy of hit- backpeddle while they power up- let them swing and miss- run in and hit again.

You can beat anyone that way.

Buffy, of course, is a fragile no melee mystic archer.

A typical long range attack might be a combination spell that drains a target's speed and weakens them to poison. That is immediately followed by a poisoned arrow from the shadows with devastating results. When confronted up close, she will cast a spell to immobilize her foe, then open fire with Slayer (her bow). Crowds are thinned by illusion mind control spells that allow her foes to kill each other off; the wounded sole survivor is either sniped or fed to a summon. Combat underwater is by blocking with her bow and casting absorb health touch spells. Her panic button is to simultaneously disappear and leave an angry clannfear in her place.

Key to all of this is a massive detect life range and superb sneak skill so she can retain control of the battlefield without surprises.
