Can someone please tell me how to give my equipment to Malborn in the diplomatic immunity quest? I can't figure out which buttons to push in what sequence in order that the gear will show up in the Malborn column that pops up empty every time i press the button to tell him nere's the items i need. I'm running an xbox 360 version of the game. Thanks very much!

I believe when you first talk to him he asks you to give him what you want for him to smuggle in you have to scroll down to your inventory and store/give what you want to give him on my game the button to store is X i believe hope this helps.

I'm on PC but giving him equipment in that version is no different than trading items with a follower, once the box pops up the same keys are used for transferring stuff back and forth . I would assume it's the same for all platforms but who knows?

The only differance i would think would be the button said person uses.

I think i see the problem now, whenever i use the "i need a couple of minutes" option when asked if i'm ready, and Malborn says he'll wait, i go into my items menu, there is no store/give option, and no my character and Malborn columns appearing, there's just my personal items menu that only allows me to equip, drop, use, add to favorites, as though Malborn was never there. The only time i see a Malborn items column appear is after i say i'm ready and he replies and the column is always empty no matter what i've attempted. I have tried everything i can think of, using the i'm ready, here's what i'll need dialogue to Malborn, without doing anything else first even, dropping everything so he could pick it up, equipping all i'd need and dropping the rest, you name it. It's starting to look like i have a bug in the game and i'm toast. Real nice, after buying the game and playing itso many hours! This was my first role player, and i was very impressed till now. Thanks for trying people, i do appreciate it.

When you tell him you're ready and his "column" appears, it's supposed to be empty because you haven't given him anything yet. You "store" the desired items with him like you would store them in any other container. You don't drop or equip them, he's basically an open container at that point for you to put things in. That is the only kind of interaction that's going to work here. Whatever the button is that you would use to store an item in a chest or cupboard, use that.

You not only made my week, but saved my sanity as well! i wasloving this game like no other, and was convinced that i had a bug that i'd never be able to fix and was ready to give up on this awesome saga entirely. Thanks to you, i just cleared out the enemies found after i got my gear out of the larder, and am on the proverbial road again! Thank you SOOOO much!!!

No problem. I remember doing that quest for the first time and I didn't quite know what to do right off either. Once you realize that Malborn is nothing but a talking container at that point, it all clicks into place.
