How do you get this guy to show up? he is never there at midnight! nvmd i got it to work. I had to exit a dungeon and be there after midnight

Only an ebony bow for me.

I tried pick pocketing him and it only showed ebony bow even though it looked like glass bow on his back so I attacked him and he eventually switched to melee weapon. At that point I used bend will on him and he quit fighting and sat back down. He had no bow on his back and upon trading with him again - he had stag bow for sale.

Actually none of the above...I fought him, calmed him with the shout and then purchased the glass bow from him. Basically you can say we fought so I can earn the right to buy the bow from him...afterwards we laughed over some mead and were friends again

Here's how I did it:

• Moved Followers Away
  
• Cast Bend Will on Him
  
• Dropped Dragonbone Mace
  
• Summoned Ash Atronach
  
• Killed Atronach
  
• Bought the Bow

Surely there is more to this guy right? We must have missed a quest activator or somthing.
