I stumbled on to Helios 1 early in the game, and activated the two outside computers for a test, then set the main terminal directing the energy to Archimedes ll, went up to the observation tower, and pulled the lever down at the console to execute the test, I saw the beams fry the NCR, and then went and killed everyone that was in the main facility. Then later in Free side I found the Euclid C-Finder, (so I found the gun after messing with Helios 1), I went back to Helios 1 to try to activate the C-Finder during the day, the alert sounds for a test in the main tower were still going off, I checked the main terminal that I used to direct the energy, and it says Archimedes activated, with an option to de-activate it on the screen. I left it activated, went back up to the observation deck with my C-Finder out, and went up to the console that I activated for the initial test, the lever remains down, and cannot be reset. My C-finder just clicks, and is not activating. I've tried going back down to the main terminal and de-activating, then,activating Archimedes, a lady starts warning all personal that a test will be occurring but it doesn't.

Even though I fried the NCR first, before finding the C-Finder shouldn't I be able to activate it and use it once a day. Is this a glitch in the game, or am I missing something in my gameplay to make my C-Finder ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm pretty sure you only have to direct energy to Archimedes II and then the Euclid's C-Finder should get one round of ammunition per day that recharges automatically. you don't have to go to helios 1 everytime you want to use the C-Finder. but if you activated Archimedes and you still aren't getting ammo for the C-Finder, it could be a glitch. check the Fallout wiki page for the C-Finder, it could help you solve your problem
