Is glitchingusing exploits the norm for players on here? It

Reading through some of the comments/threads I'm getting the impression that using glitches and exploits seems to be the norm for players here.

I don't care what people do and if it makes the game more fun for you, go right ahead. I did the Mystic Tuning glitch for one of my characters and leveled up my Sneak by grinding it out at High Hrothgar with another. So I'm not on a high horse or anything. Haven't done the Fortify Restoration, Oghma Infiinitium or whatever, or any others yet because for me it detracts from the experience (plus I don't know how).

Anyone else feel this way?

Admittedly I haven't been playing Skyrim much at all this past year. I only started playing it again recently and even then it's sporadic with all the new releases this month.

I have never done the fortify restoration glitch, nor have I ever grinded sneak by backstabbing essential npcs. I have used the Oghma Infinium glitch, but that doesn't much matter because it is about to be fixed anyways. I only ever used it to test out new builds though, I try to keep my actual characters glitch free.

I don't think there's a 'norm' here. Different people do different things - that's the beauty of single player games ;)

Personally, I don't use exploits. I did on one character, but then discovered roleplay and realised just how much more enjoyable the game became for me. I can't say I'd ever go back to exploits, metagaming and hopping from game to game. It's not as enjoyable, you don't get as much worth from your game, and your pocket becomes much too light!

Don't think so. I think a lot of people here try to play the game so that their character's increase in power naturally and try to avoid exploiting bad AI or design in combat.

Most people do not continue to play a character they have used a Glitch to level, because it makes the game too easy. I have never bothered with the Restoration Glitch, but I have exploited the Oghma. I personally do not consider cleansing the Fonts an exploit if it is used to survive a Dungeon with Dwemer Automatons, and Falmer. Using the Font boosts inside the College is a little different.
I am also using the Legendary Skill reset on three level twenty characters, but I have been accused (directly and indirectly by other posters in 1.9 threads) of power levelling My character by resetting a Mage Skill My character has already Mastered to stay within Roleplay :bonk:
