GNULinux?

i had my first taste of the elder scrolls series with skyrim on the PS3 about a year ago, and in all honesty its one of the best RPG games ive ever played, it had everything i loved about GTA:SA in a medievel setting, and id really like to put it on my PC. problem is, its only for microsoft windows, and im done with that OS for good (outside of virtual machines i use on occasion for games with low requirements and visual novels). are there any plans for ports to be made for the GNU/Linux system at all? are there any plans for future installments of the elder scrolls to be ported to GNU/Linux?

also, would we ever see these games on other services such as desura? i have reservations about installing such an abhorrent amount of DRM on my system, though if skyrim were to come to Linux id probably be willing to but up with it as best as i can

I think it's safe to say that Skyrim will never come to Linux, even under Steam. You'll have to install WINE to be able to play the game on your system.

This, if you have not seen it already, https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Steam_under_Linux may be of interest to you.

Bethesda Game Studios will probably never port The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to Linux since it's less than 2% of the market. You have to remember Bethesda Game Studios is owned by Bethesda Softworks which is a parent company of ZeniMax Media Inc which is funded by private investors. It will cost them a lot of money to port The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to Linux at this point with little to no profits to be made.
