kinda felt bad when i went through the goblin cave and killed the chef , the rat farmer and later the shaman...felt kinda bad... lol..

it was kinda weird , but fun...

I liked that quest very much too.

Also, some people say Oblivion quests are repetitive and bland. But what quest in Morrowind or Skyrm, etc. results in a new settlement? it think it is a great quest. And it is lore laden with respect to Goblins.

But I don't feel bad at all killing any Goblins. The only good Goblin is a dead Goblin! It's what they should get for choosing to be Goblins.

I loved this quest too, especially since there is more than one way you can go about doing it. Like Savlian said, smiting goblins is fun!

Oh I really enjoy that quest as well! And over time, the settlers really to develop their homestead into a nice tiny 'village'. My character is a very curious wood elf and, given that goblin ears look sort of like hers, she has always wondered if perhaps they are some form of primitive cave mer. She wishes she could somehow communicate with them. There is no doubt that have a somewhat sophisticated tribal culture, social hierarchy, use tools well and even farm rats and drink beer! Gee, that sounds almost like a college fraternity house, no?

If anything, it's the Skyrim quests that are bland. I enjoyed a great deal of the Oblivion side quests.

This one in particular was also fun because of the number of ways you could complete it. Something I always appreciate that is largely missing in Skyrim.

I loved these sorta quests with all the different types of goblin tribes and professions for the goblins.

You don't see any of that in Skyrim with the Falmer.
