"God" Character

Post » Sun May 06, 2012 9:20 pm

I know there are guides elsewhere, so can someone point me in the direction of a guide to becoming a "god" character? By god character I mean a perfectly build character with the perfect mix of major and minor skills, and guides telling where to go to get tons of money fast.

unmodded play throughs use alchemy and the creeper

1. steal the masters alchemy set in the Caldera Guild.

2. steal the orc armor in Ghorak manor, Caldera (its ok, do it) and sell it to the scamp there, Creeper.

3. teleport to Wolverine Hall

4. make intelligence and drink many potions from the bloat and ash yams bought in the shrine there.

5. sell the potions to Creeper (or fatigue ones, whatever), but save some intelligence ones for later.

6. train skills in sets that best multiply your attributes, like 5 blunt for str, 5 alteration for wil

7. repeat

(thought to add, soul trapping is perhaps quicker on high levels, you can give scamp more money in the CS too)

8. soon you will be a dirty rotten cheater.

By god character I mean a perfectly build character with the perfect mix of major and minor skills,
There is no perfect combination of skills.
Some combinations are easier to play/level than others, but any type of character can become powerful.

^^^^^Absolutely true.

But if you really want to exploit the game's system and be an unkillable character, using fortify intelligence (or even a fortify alchemy spell) and then making potions and selling them to the creeper is the easiest way to make money, which, in turn, is the easiest way to get enchanted armor and clothing suited specifically for your character.

My thief/warrior combo turns out to be relatively godlike.

Also.
Turn the difficulty down to -100. You'll be a 'god' by level 5.

honestly at some point in the game if you've been grinding just a little you will get all your major and minor skills pretty much maxed or nearly maxed out. I don't like alchemy, what I do is invest in chamillion 100 and open door 50 and open door 100 (you can either get enchanted items or spells depending on your character) then just loot the vaults in vivac. Once you do that recall to the mud crab merchant. You will be rich in no time. Then spends all your money grinding skills at the masters. If you work on one skills at a time you are bound to get +4s or +5s on the attributes when leveling up (also level up faster) Took me only a few hours to get an unbeatable character that can pretty much 1-2 hit anything in the game and hardly take any damage and is a master in nearly all the skills out there.

This way isn't necessarily better then the alchemy method but I think stealing under the ordinators noses is more fun.

Be real careful with this one. Either the MCP or the other popular patch (forgot the name. Ver 1.6) fixes this and I got nailed when I tried it.

Not difficult to become an over-achiever in this game. I barely worry about leveling up because of all the enchanted items I use.
Old Pro's will probably snicker, but I was just about immortal at level 15 or so. Not totally. If I'm not paying attention I can still get nailed.
Still fun for me because there's so much to do.

Just north east of Caldera is a crypt, right next to a spot where two diseased Kagouti spawn. Once you are high enough level to survive a trip into this crypt, you can start milking it for loot. Every time you leave the crypt, you can turn around and go back in, fight freshly spawned enemies. Eventually, you end up facing Dremora with extremely valuable loot. You walk back and forth, between the Creeper in Ghorak Manor and the crypt, building up your bank of wealth. Use it to fund your training.

You can't get more than 5000 per day from the Creeper, but that's more than enough. Really, any more and the game becomes entirely ridiculous. Some people think the 5000 is too much for a single vendor to have.

If you're bumping up the right scores, you'll be entirely unbeatable by level 15 or so.
