If an ES God(ess) were to be found incognito drinking at a t

...who would it most likely be? I think I can rule out Mehrunes Dagon for obvious reasons :P, but I don't know enough about the others to answer the question myself. Are there any gods know for taking on human/elven form and mingling with humans and elves? This God should be willing to talk with the player over a couple of beers while discussing the local sights and happenings. Although he/she wouldn't explicitly admit to his/her true identity, they'd hint at it. This would also be in the era of Oblivion, if that helps narrow down the possibilities.

Drinking at a bar........

None of the goddesses I can think of would be drinking at a bar, but I could see Namyra sitting in the BACK of the bar, in the shadows.

Azura might be up for a small, friendly pint of cider in exchange for a good, well-spun tale by the fire at dusk-- (and likely tell one that would cause night terrors in the guests who heard it...) I shudder to think what her and Namyra could cook up together when spinning such a take of epic woe....

You would be more likely to find a male daedroth at the front of the bar kickin' em back--- Probably Sanguine. He'd probably play a game like "Try to drink me under the table", with high stakes. :P

Wow... Clavicus Vile VS Sanguine, in a beer drinking contest... in which the wager is the souls of the bar's other patrons. WOW-- thats a great idea.

Do you mean would they be found in the mundus drunk? Sanguine could arrange that... but otherwise all but Sheogorath wouldn't be caught dead preforming that deed of intoxicating foolishness. A.K.A Most of them would be too humiliated to do such a thing. Sheo, would do it for obvios reasons. It would be racist to say that Malacath would do it, but I think that it is so. I'm not an expert on the devines, nor minor religions such as nordic tribal gods.

Imagine a bar where all the divines hang (including the princes) Dibella is a stripper and sanguine is the bartender/bar drunk and they all hang and talk.

Clavicus Vile is ALL INTO rigged bets, unwinnable gambles, and unfair deals.

Sanguine is all into drunkenness, debauchery, blood orgies, blood sports, orgies in general, sixual deviance, overindulgence, and the like.

I could SO see Clavicus and Sanguine descending on a bar, getting the patrons drunk, then rileing them up into agreeing to betting on a drinking game.

Sanguine would relish seeing mortals overindulge, (and partaking of the beverage as well)-- and Clavicus would revel in setting up a rigged game in which he stands to gain no matter what.

It would be a match made in [oblivion] for those two to descend into a bar and cause trouble.

It would need to be made afoul by Sheogorath though, to make it stay "Interesting."

What Azura and Namyra would do is different though.

Azura's sphere is over beginnings and endings. (Dusk and dawn.), and through extension, could be ascribed to "Rise and Fall." in fame and fortune.... Thus, she would be casually interested in the epic tales and stories told by the fireside in the greatroom. Namyra presides over the realm of nightmares, and dread horrors which one thankfully does not remember upon waking. While Azura would converse freely with the tale-tellers, Namyra would simply walk up, and unleash a tale of such horror and dread as to make people want to commit suicide right there on the spot, or other similarly extreme reaction to terror/horror. (She herself would likely appear as a wizened old witch of a woman.) The two goddesses would instantly recognize each other, regardless of what mortal disguises they were wearing, and depending on if Azura is feeling mischevious or not, might well play along with Namyra, and spin tales both beautiful, and terrifying.

Not drunk. :P Just having a friendly drink with the current hero of destiny and a chat about the local sites and news. The purpose of the mod would be for the player to hear about the local sites and possibly have a couple of map markers added to their map. I'll probably make two versions, one that adds the map markers and one that doesn't for people that want more vague directions.

This would be good for an oblivion mod for where after you become Madgod, then haskill tells you about this place and gives you a door to an extremely unique bar,

True... but not everyone has Shivering Isles and I'd like to make this playable by everyone who wants it. In an ideal world, everyone would have Shivering Isles because it is so awesome, but alas.

I still like the idea of either Azura + Namyra causing trouble in the bar by making a whole town cower in fear after having been plagued by nightmares......

Or a whole town disappearing because of a drinking bet between Clavicus and Sanguine....

That is not correct. She might be dancing, but she would not be stripping. She and her followers don't wear clothes. Besides, the real effort is to get Azura's skirt off (she doesn't wear a shirt in the M rated game).

With a old dog outside!!? Yes!

But didn't Sanguine live at the palace for a while. He would be right home at a bar. Assuming their was an orgy afterwards, otherwise it may be too tame for him.

Clavicus Vile would be at home in a tavern as well. Good place to collect souls.

Unfortunately, Molag Bal seems to be in home at bars too. It's horrible.

Luckily, her Vvardenfell statues were imported.

Sanguine would be getting hoplessly drunk.

Azura would be telling stories.

Sheogorath would be singing.

Molag Bal would be slipping people date-[censored] drugs.

Namira would be sulking in a dark corner.

Peryite would be ordering the bartender about.

Malacath would keep getting turned down by chicks.

Clavicus Vile would be setting up some sort of rigged drinking game.

Why would Azura be telling stories again?

I think she'd focus on dramatic entrances and exits to draw attention to herself.

Azura is the goddess of beginnings, endings, and unnatural beauty.

She would take interest in the tales of heros, because they rise to power, and then decline enigmatically. While the story tellers would tell the old tale of the heros of old, Azura would tell the stories of their youth, and old age.

I know, and that is why it depressing that he would be at a bar.

Azura would probably be off manipulating some poor sap to sacrifice himself for her. The ultimate man-eater (cue Nelly Furtado)

Azura likes changes. Beginnings and endings-- and beginnings again. She hates things that overly static. That's why she made the Kajiit the way she did. ;) (Its also why her curse on the chimer was to change them.)

She would take pleasure in changing the telling of a story to induce changes in popular culture, as it creates new beginnings from old endings.

Hircine would be setting traps for the rats in the cellar...

Hermaus Mora would be listening to all the gossip and stories in order to learn stuff.

Jyggalag would be cleaning the bar like an OCD maid on crack.

I think most of the other good ones have been mentioned already...
