God mode.

Yeah I know.. I was thinking the main concern people seem to be having is that they'll be able to max out a character before the game is over. Even if your maths are right on the money, people (obviously) have a hard time believing that it will take that much time. Simply showing that even if they used past leveling systems or even something doubling past leveling systems still wouldn't get them to that maxed out character could alleviate that concern... (or maybe it'd make the concern worse because lots of people like to max out a character.)

At any rate, I'm sticking to your leveling theory because I like it best. I want that 2,500 hour max character challenge that I'll never actually complete because I'm lazy.

In the past 4 Bethesda games i played i could create a godlike character, in rarely done it because like you i like to role/play specific chars.

It means i only do those quests, use those weapons and join those factions that fit my character.

For people who play like that, does not matter if there is a level cap, i never reach it in any Bethesda game, ever.

Trust me, this is not something any of us will have to worry about.

They said it's about the same speed of Skyrim. What's the max level you achieved in Skyrim?

Without using Legendary Skills you can achieve level 81 in Skyrim.

Right so not even close to what we would need to really max in 4. I don't see why anyone is that concerned. I don't ofter agree with your theories but you estimated calculation of maxing a character is pretty hard to ignore. I think it will be a very rare thing to see someone do it without cheating

That's right, for those who want to be a MOAT, they now have the option provided they put in the time(or console commands/mods). Fallout 4 is going go down the Skyrim route where you're not forced to pick a perk when you level up. The only way anyone's character can be a world beating "I can do it all" ace is if they choose to.

I like this approach since it puts player choice at the forefront, someone can be as good, bad or specialised as they want to be in any area. The new system is versatile since you can practically control how fast or slow your character progresses, e.g Bethesda's fallout 3 style, every two levels like New Vegas or a Mass Effect 1 style giving yourself a perk every level up to say 15/20 and then just giving yourself one every two/three levels type of gig.

Every game of Bethesda's that I have played becomes too easy after you reach a certain rank. By then I become bored and make a new character.

Aww, man, I misread the title and came in here hoping you all were discussing "Cod Mode" where you run around slapping people with fish.

Just so long as you misread the title as cod mode and not codpiece mode, we can get along.
