Can a heavy be an operative, then disguise as a light and obtain his ability to free run? If that were possible, then if you were a heavy, you could disguise, run to the highest place you can find, and then when the disguise wares off, you can slaughter everyone below you!!!

Nope. Whatever disguise you take on, will potentially reveal who you are. i.e. You're a light operative, with a heavy disguise, and running around, either hacks will be called, or you'll be gunned down as a SPAH!

i think when you disguise you just change into that persons clothes not body type .

No it is not possible if your a heavy with a light disguise you would still be limited to heavy movements. Thats another way to figure out if the enemy has infiltrated your team when you see a light running around things instated of free running it .

Well thats a relief, and also makes me feel more accepting about operatives because when they disguise, it will be easier to tell. It would be kind of strange seing a Light body type running slower than usual.

If this game was realistic you would only be able to disguise as people with the same bodytype as you

It would be a bit silly if you could get their parkour movement and speed, but.. Eh, I think this was something they thought of

I just think it'd be funnier to see a light op disguise as a heavy. Some nice clipping there I can imagine.

^ Yeah, I think it would be more entertaining to see a heavy doing parkour. I would just walk slow to mimick the heavys movements and fool everyone.

that would be funny, but yes as stated only clothing is changed in the disguise process

My theory is that during the first peek-days of BRINK the Operatives will be used more than the others, but eventually people will begin to understand

But since there are alot on this forum that say they'd go for a certain class it might not be true

Since racking up kills as a disguised operative is highly unlikely I would be more inclined to quietly sneak around and hack stuff. Only after that will I focus on throwing some mines on folks backs. :celebration:

No, its not possible. Heavy operatives can only run at the speed of a heavy, nothing better.

I would figure that disguising yourself is just going to guarantee yourself some time in the enemy base for some mines, and 1 kill. Maybe more if the enemy team is really stupid to not see the red dot on the map behind them and not retaliate.

Other then that operative isn't going to be a powerhouse. Unless he is bufffed to hell and back with weapon damage, increased ammo, health buff and so forth. Other then that, expect a buffed opponent take out a unbuffed operative.

FYI this is just for a lone operative without some sort of back up. There are plenty of ways to get around to this. But a lone Operative will have a lot on their plate, especially if they are up against two people. Then kiss that iphone hacking device goodbye. :shrug:

i already know that engineer is going to be the UMP and Famas for this game. thats why im starting with it so i can say i was with it from the start and cant get hate mail flamed by 8 year olds. even thought thats a bonus xD

Or if you see a a light body type carrying a mini-gun. That would be a big tip.

oh they will be... very very overused... probably by noobs, and only in the beginning until ppl realize its not all that.

i dont get it really please someone explain to me why operatives are going to be overused.

I think ppl will view this as a kind of "sniper" class, all the back stabbing spy wanna be's will be blowing it up. From what I have seen of CoD, players that like to do flying knifes and such will be loving it. And they make up a lot of the crowd imo....

they can take their disguise and shove it when i use the passive skill that allows me to spot said disguises. plus my turret(s) set up in choke points i dont think it will be too much trouble to shut down any Ops. PLUS i have a team of about 12 people. so ill always have a full team in a party chat. so if anyone gets cloned we will know exactly when it happens and who it is.

im always looking for new people to play with. if you decide to come on board, i warn you now that me and my friends are very good at games we play and thus making us competetive. im kind of the leader of the group. and as of right now we have a little civil war going on in our group but playing a game in brink shouldnt be affected by this said war. its just a thought though. just giving you an option
