Oh god, there are so many!

Yes, that also surprised me. But the first REAL surprise was when I finally encountered my first ghouls, that they are "playing dead". I'm was like, hmm cool, everything is dead in here... until one stirred. LOL I ran into a room and then behind me, an open window...

Hmm, never thought about shooting them in the legs. I usually go for head shots, based on my other Fallout experience LOL

Whoever did the animations and stuff for them did a real good job they scare the crap out of me.

When ever I go into a new building for the first time I'm like "don't be ferals don't be ferals" then I see a supermuntant Gore bag and I'm like "phew, it's just muties".

Don't investigate the Museum of Witchcraft then. Feral ghouls don't really scare me but the thing in that Museum... Not fun. Even your companion will be like "We should leave."...

OMG don't tell me it's another "Dunwich Building". And well, I figured that "museum" would be scary. That place will be in my distant future, when I'm like lvl 100 LOL

They are very flamable. I can take out a whole group of them with one cocktail. Only issue is the terrible interface on the PC and getting it tossed when I want to.

Lol east is even worse than south, insanely powerful assassin droid I found over there chased me into a super mutant camp where he killed all of them and only lost half his health.

This. Ghouls are useless without legs. They just lay there moaning.

Shoot their legs off. Ah, that's where I've been going wrong, my technique so far is to fire blindly in their general direction then run away.

You're going to die a few times. I know I did... But I also ended up succeeding. If you do succeed, I hope you make the right choice.

It's do-able at lower level. I've done it at level 24 myself but on Normal. On the harder difficulties? You might want to either wait or bring power armor.

Dogmeat attacks crimps your enemies, hes good against ghouls also if you activate his perk you can get some nice headshots.

Also molotov its your second best friend.

This is your first problem, you should probably have better gear. What level are you?

If you have mines, use them. You can also aim for their legs to slow them down some. Biggest problem with ghouls is their speed, so cap them knees!

I use the shotgun up close while back peddling.

Okay guys and girls a lot of good advice. Like shoot them in the legs, throw a molotov their way, upgrade weapons and armor, look out for open windows, ceilings, and drainage pipes, try to sneak and snipe them. All good advice, thank you.:tops:

I'm only level 4. The raider gear is the only complete set I've found. I've spent most of my time working on Sanctuary Hills, building and scrapping.

Honestly I can't wait to blow one's arms off and then use that perk to make them my friend. I'll have him follow me everywhere. I'll call him Joe. Joe the armless feral zombie.

You need to lvl a little more, my first encounter with a Feral Ghoul was at lvl 9, also you need to explore the wasteland more, there is a tent like spot were you can find a dead guy wearing a good cloth for protection, also don't rush yourself to Diamond city, there is a lot to do before that.

^^^^^^ This right here. ^^^^^

I've been using a lightly modded 10MM and I just shoot whatever leg is exposed. That leaves them slowly crawling on the ground where you or your companion can dispatch them at your leisure.

Explosives! Always carry a few frag and bottle cap mines with you. You see a Suicider coming at you, or a ghoul swarm forming and heading your way (which will usually be in a line formation), quick slot your mines and start dropping them as you kite back. Works everytime. If anything survives, it can usually be dispatched quickly, due to the massive crippling effect of mines. Bottle cap mines are your insurance policy against deathclaws, providing you see them in time. Work like magic.

I love mines!

PS. Throw Molotovs in the middle of all this just for fun and sit back and enjoy the chaos.

Those Charisma perks to turn enemies into commandable allies are basically Necromancy from Skyrim, lol.

I thought it would be easier then heading south.:P

That's a great tip. As for not heading to Diamond city, that's the plan, I want to explore more which is why I thought going north east was a good idea.:lmao:
