Godzilla sized monsters for a DLC?

Post » Fri Jan 22, 2016 4:20 am

How about a DLC that puts a few http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Giant_Footprint themed from 1950's sci-fi similar to those such as Godzilla or Mothra? Have them wandering the wastes and cause random destruction and will go down after taking a factory of bullets/energy, though there's a special way to kill each of them easier.

Mothra might be a little hard to do with hardware restraints for some players, but a Giant Deathclaw should be possible since we already have Behemoths and a couple of other giant npcs in the game.

Little did they know when the set off one of those a-bombs, lurking for millions of years encased in a block of ice, evil incarnate.... waiting to be melted down and to rise again. Waiting only to take those giant footsteps

Honestly I have no interest in enemies that big. But I'm sure there are things bigger than Mirelurk Queens.

That'd be pretty funny actually. It'd force you to use the Minuteman artillery strikes. :hehe:

I think it could make an interesting DLC. Not more than one of these in the game though. That would be overkill.

This idea strikes me as horse armor 2.0. New skin for a monster, scaled up to godzilla height..

No thanks. I want new quests, new lands, expanded/new features.

I would like it if it included its own destructive enviroment. But maybe that would be asking too much.

There is a potential gigantic enemy (if you are enemies with the BoS), already in game though I'm not sure you can fight it which is bit of a let down.

Also this will absolutely be doable once GECK hits as Beth's editors almost always include a resize tool in them. All you would need is the monster. In fact, cant you already do this in the console window with existing creatures? I know you could in Skyrim.

Problem with giant creatures is that they have problems enter doors, works with deathclaws already, you can kill the deathclaw as concord with any pipe weapon hiding inside an building.

Enemies with an area effect ranged attack manages somehow, dragons in Skyrim has the breath weapon, minelurk queens throws goo.

The others is just an ammo cost, even in the open they are fairly hard to miss.

Still want to kill a dread emperor mirelurk and build a settlement under its shell. But yeah I wouldn't dedicate a DLC to it, maybe an easter egg at most
