They most likely wont do that.. This dlc is like Operation Ancourage. You play it once and get a reward.. The end..

If you are on consoles I think you are out of luck (PC has several mods that let you). You could never go back to Mothership Zeta or Anchorage, and I have a feeling Dead Money is like those (in that it is a one time deal). I doubt it will be patched to let you go back becasue I think they want to make it more mysterious.

I think they should patch it though.
O:A could make sense with not going back.
But I don't understand why I can't get back to Sierra Madre.
I could go back from the SM to the Mojave but I cannot find my way back?
Bullcrap if you ask me.
Only problem I see is the security system taking your stuff again upon arrival.

Don't any of you guys remember the ending of Dead Money? Same reason we don't play after the battle of Hoover dam, it alters the game.

Yes but if your gonna compare this to fallout 3 you got to know that dead money was the most like the pitt were you could return.

Spoiler
In my ending The Merge wandered off, Dean got killed, Elijah got killed and Christine watched over the casino

Besides, after the DLC is done you can still explore before you leave it, so I don't see how it really alters anything, just make parts of the casino unavailable since Christine might be in there and it doesn't contradict anything by the player being there.

This and there must be a way to disable it because this time you will not be unconscious.
And it doesn't alter the game ending so story wise i don't see a reason why we cant go back.

Also, another reason that you are not suppose to go back is so you can't get all of the gold and loot. You have to choose what you want to keep.

I learned that I payed for a DLC that had an awesome area with awesome one of a kind enemies that I wish to fight again but to do that I have to start a new character and play by Dead Money's storylines' limited rules.
I also learned that it had lots of stuff to collect and that it has no reason to really exclude me from there but that I have to collect everything on the first go and if not then I lose out on them.

I didn't like what I learned in SAW class. :(

Gandler, then close off that part of the casino?

You could go back to the ship anytime.

I only use the phrase when it's relevant. People missing the point of the DLC means its relevant.

As for Zeta, yes, you can go back to the ship, but most of it is cut off.

Yeah, you can't enter or go back 4 or 5 special locations in Mothership Zeta(If you not collected all Alien Captive Recordings) and there will not patch about go back to location.

I understand it's meaning of letting go but I still consider it a [censored] move.
Just like it was a [censored] move to not make trogs respawn in The Pitt and closing off 95% of Mothership Zeta after completion.

Would increase the fun of the DLC if I could go back there whenever I wanted to with my own weapons and gear and hunt ghosts through the ruins.
See no reason why the "letting go" part should deprive me of that fun, I thought it was about a metaphorical/symbolic reason and the gold.
Not that "Well you can't go back to the DLC because we told you to let go off it."

Bleh, unless there is a good reason to stop me from going back I see no reason why they should close off the DLC that I paid for.
It's not like O:A where the scientist girl that operates the machine gets killed or BS where I blow up the Crawler.
If I logically could return there then I should be able to return there.

This is true. For my character, if he was even able to go back there, he'd say "[censored] no, good riddance to that hell hole". But I can see how it might be appropriate for other characters. Honest Hearts will likely have an open area, because Zion National Park is a large wilderness area and it would be kind of a waste for it to not be an open area. And in an open area DLC, unless you nuke the [censored] place then there is really no reason to not be able to return.
