I'm replaying Fallout 3 currently after spending a ton of time on Fallout 4, and I had to remap my VATS key to Q instead of V. I was hitting Q every single time lol
The buttons to move around and open/close menus are all different too, so it's created a bit of confusion.
LOL I logged into Skyrim briefly and of course, also hit Q to see if any enemies are around... And I also realized, that everything was too pretty and clean! I missed my rubble and dust and gun fights! Needless to say, my Skyrim children will be without a Mother for quite some time... awwww
Don't miss the rubble, miss the exploding minigun,
Skyrim: Plenty of clean water and everyone is dirty.
Fallout: The water will kill you and everyone is clean.
EDIT: Now that I think about it there are plenty of dirty people in Fallout (at least FO3) ... so nvm.
My only small short that way is pressing the wrong button to pan around to see my character and the wrong autowalk button. My big short id holding down the power attack button like in Skyrim ibnstead of tapping and readying a grenade or throwing one at my feet in melee.
That being said, I can't wait until Fallout 4 gets a few years of excellent mods under its belt like Skyrim. At this point, Skyrim seems so much more immersive and "real" to me.
I've played Fallout 4 with voice volume at 0 for the last 100 hrs in order to make Skyrim feel as it used to when I start up again (just waiting for the USLEEP to leave beta).
When I retired my first and only character in Fallout 4(still got him saved, for when DLC comes out), I decided to take a short return to Skyrim. Wasn't sure why Fallout 4 made me feel like an old man, but I realized when I had so much fun in Skyrim again that I've become somewhat similar to what people mean when they say something like "Morrowhiner", in that there is something I can't quite put my finger on bothering me about Fallout 4 that makes it an inferior game, in my eyes, to every game BGS made from Morrowind to Skyrim.
I don't even have the enthusiasm about FO4 to be angry or argue its merits(or lack thereof) with others. Fun while it lasted, but no longterm impression.
