going back to F3

Fallout 3 is on exhibit at the Smithsonian. New Vegas is in the bargain bin at target.

Regardless of personal preference, I think we can all agree that the events of FO3/Broken Steel are fundamentally important to the future of the series and most likely foreshadow the events of FO4. As a Fallout fan FO3 is a must, NV is the optional proverbial cherry on top.

All of the Fallout games (except Brotherhood of Steel) are worth playing, they each have their own strengths and weaknesses.

It would be a good investment you can't ever go wrong with a game published by Bethesda...well at least not most of the time :whistling:
And while your at it you should also pick up Oblivion goty and pre order Skyrim if you haven't already

You say it as if Fallout 3 doesn't make it into "bargain bins" as well. To many, recognition be it from reviews or museums doesn't really play any factor in their opinion of the game.
Also, not necessarily. We don't know where the next Fallout will be set, in fact, I believe they told Obsidian to stay relatively away from Arizona because they had something they wanted to do there. In that case, if anything, New Vegas would be the one you'd want to play as a prerequisite. Either way, we just don't know. It's anyone's guess.

I do agree that it is worth it to get the game if you enjoyed New Vegas and are a Fallout fan, especially because it goes for low prices pretty much anywhere.

As the topic description says. should i get F3 after ive plaed NV. I've played it a some friends houses and it seems fun but is it worth it to buy F3 after i've already played NV

only played since 3 myself but it sounds to me like theres history and connections with characters and story throughout them all so worth it for that.plus for what the game costs now even if you dont like it you not really lost anything, except maybe time on fnv.anyone now what platform the first two were on coz i wanna check them out but only got 360

I would hope that fo3 and fo nv are important to the future of fo.

NCR is probably the biggest most civilised mini nation in fo that we know of. I didn t even play the old fo and I knew NCR had to be big.

I was glad to get a look at them. If they expand out of Cali is very important to the series.

I hope Bethesda told Obsidian not to have Arizona becausd fo4 will have us find the mid west bos vs the MLA.

FO tactics used map nodes, so that game cover a huge amount of ground. I can t tell how much from looking on wiki, but it might be pretty close to AZ.

A mid west bos/ CL/ MLA fo would be sweet with the right tactics ending. FO NV does tell us that AZ is CL land. Depending on the real fo nv ending CL could still own it, or NCR could chase CL into a not so nice mid west bos with serious robots and a cannon fodder slave army. NCR/cl/ mid west bos and MLA could be in fo4 to an extent.

I think NCR would do some killing in AZ, but I don t think they are ready to expand and hold more.

Fallout: New Vegas is more fun for me now, but back in the day when it was just F3 the experience was unparalleled. Definitely get F3 but get GOTY.
