"Im going to break something" moments of your life

Post » Thu Aug 19, 2010 3:06 am

Ooh, I know those moments. They happen to me every once in a while too, but not for any particular reason, it could be different things. Most probably unimportant ones, because I can't even remember why. :P

When I spent 25 bucks on Fallout 3 to discover that it doesn't work well with my computer through no apparent fault of my own. Got a store credit though so Steam is forgiven.

Sending mum a 15 dollar voucher and 5 dollar card fastpost and having it lost in the mail.

Getting stuck at a petrol station with 50 bucks gas in my ute and a malfunctioning fuel card trying to call family for help on a broken phone that kept cutting out, with a migraine headache, filling out an 'unable to pay' debt form and being able to drive off with my 50 bucks gas but not my $3 bottle of water.

Buying my horse a $90 cover and promising my mother that the material would be fine and would not rip, only to have the <bad word> rip it 5 days later in a complete fluke accident and not being able to get it repaired for less than $70.

Recieving a letter in the mail telling me I'm signed up for a Government saving scheme that I am vehemently
opposed to, after opting out of it. Twice.

This all happened in the last month, I've been wanting to break a lot of somethings lately.

*edit* this isn't really relevant, but it still made me want to break stuff.

*edit edit* censored myself on a word thast didn't auto censor to avoid getting in trouble :teehee:

When I woke up last tuesday and realized that that tuesday was in fact the 3rd of May, rather than the thursday I expected to be the third of May. This meant I had just missed one part of my IB English A2 examination. That means I now can only get a partial certificate, which is pretty much useless.

Lockpicking in Oblivion before i found out about the skeleton key

Please don't remind me. That [censored] lockpicking system drove me absolutely insane.

As for me, some of my rage moments occur because of Nocturne. Amazing game, but sometimes it just...Grrr. Like when I encounter a treasure chest, I see Kagutsuchi at 7 and get all excited, only to see it go down to 6. In that game, you always get the best item in the randomized chests at 8/8, or "Full". It moves in a cycle from New to Full then back to New, with each cycle consisting of 6 phases in between. It seems nearly every single time I approach one of those chests, I'm just coming out of Full. :banghead:

My sister recently had a baby and, due to financial problems, is staying here with us for a bit. Naturally, the crying can get pretty irritating, but I keep control over my rage because she's just a baby.

Extremely obnoxious commercials that insist bad, high volume singing is a surefire way to get me to buy their product. No, actually, it makes me want to take a screwdriver and [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored] [censored].

Oh, and gambling minigames in video games. Any game with a casino is inevitably going to make me rage hardcoe, especially if the gambling is necessary to acquire anything that doesn't svck (Dragon Quest 8, Persona 2, Xenosaga 1...)

Well, when I was seventeen, yes.
It felt quite valid and reasonable at the time doing so, but now Im over thirty.
And when I remember those times now I mostly go: 'What a sad little twerp you were. Your poor mum.'

Buy your mum some flowers or chocolate for no reason :)
She probably deserves it.

They make those things for kids, but it took me about an hour to figure it out.

Good to know I'm not the only one that had trouble with it.

So here I am, sitting in my room, doing what I usually do... and we have three turds in the house giggling there ass off as loud as they can. Three, female turds. My mother and her two friends to.... oh jeeze. Not even Marilyn Manson can tune them out! Good lord, its like The Joker was turned into a annoying woman and started doing his laugh with no sign of stopping!

This brings us to the topic of this... er..... topic. Has there ever been something so irritating in your life, a sound, someones presence, or something else that has drilled its way into your brain to the point where you want to punch a hole in the wall?

As the guard in Morrowind said, "Let's keep this as civilized as possible.."

Twice in my life I've broken things. Not just some things. All of the things in my room. I believe both times were rage induced from my parents throwing around accusations as to why I didn't want to go to church. "All you care about are those stupid games", so like an animal I proved them wrong by destroying every single disc I had and thrashing the room. I think after the second time they gave up and left my church attendance well enough alone. Those were the only two times as well. Never before, and never since, and I'd grant never again.

This was years ago mind you. Before Steampunk was...well...http://www.hongfire.com/cg/data/25/caramelldansen.swf One of the things I went through along with depression was quite a bit of rage buildup over time. I'd let it store up and build pressure so long that the tiniest drop of a hat could set it off and I'd be absolutely useless for the rest of the day. Several times I had to skip school because I woke up late, and that simple act of a quick change to the normal morning schedule made me so incomprehensibly angry at myself that I'd wallow and stew in hatred for hours.

KAAA-snipper!!

Buddy, you are the one person on this board who should never have a "lets-break-this-outta-frustration" moment, ever.

I know what you do from Mondays to Fridays.... :nuke:

Oh I've been like 6 years anger-free now. I told you, Caramelldansen was such a shock that it permanently altered the chemistry of my brain and allowed for unlimited happiness and an absolute independence from drama. http://www.hongfire.com/cg/data/25/caramelldansen.swf Unlimited power!

That one time I was on a train and forgot my music player. I'd been put directly in front of a lady who was constantly discussing dog breeding. And I can't stand people who talk so uppity about something that actually affects living beings.

Whenever my best friend eats...seriously he smacks and slurps so badly, I once considered smashing his face repeatedly against the floor
People who don't admit they're wrong, example: a girl in my class, thinks she's little miss amazing, and believes that just by her being her she's always right, and you have to do whatever she says
Bullies...every last one of them. Any time I see one of them being a bully, it sets me off

I usually only get that annoyed when people rub me the wrong way. Which is actually a herculean task, considering I say when I'm getting towards the point of actually breaking something.

Then people get pissy at me when I punch/kick something...I WARNED YOU YOU DUMB GIT!

This comment is not ment to me egoistic.
I got a higher IQ than people around me (151) and the thing that makes me go nuts (but i am good at hiding it) is when, stupid people are talking about smart things and other stupid people are also trying to act so smart, but in fact they are all wrong. But because of "colective mentality" even if I'd say my opinion or how it really is, they wouldn't care (No i'm not a nolifer, I'm actualy quite favourite). I simply hate when someone stupid tryies to act smart and everyone thinks he is right, even if he is not at all.
Again, no egoism or epeen coment

When people who are usuallybeing right are actually wrong on a subject but still think their right, or just trying to cover the fact that their wrong.

I have a friend like this....usually hes pretty intelligent but on a few issues.....yeah...

The Wilder, whats your definition of smart exactly? There are many kinds. Please do not answer anyone with a lower IQ than you though, or that is plain egotism.

Nearing the end of the first chapter in Red Dead Redemption all the way to the last dozen or so quests were just filled with moments of me wanting to smash my desk to bits and pieces.
Next up is probably an escort activity in Saints Row 2, the developers deliberately gave me the worst car in the game, it's bad on all aspects possible, so at 6 I failed so many times due to how horrible my luck was that I had to hyperventilate and go out for a calming cigarette every 3 minutes.
IRL though I don't normally have any of those moments were I get that frustrated, I'm relatively calm otherwise.
I do get heavily annoyed whenever someone pulls out a vacuum cleaner. Dunno why, just hate those loud things.
