So I'm Going to Make a Hunter Character

Post » Sun Dec 04, 2011 3:39 pm

So, as the title says I am going to be roleplaying as a hunter living off the land only going into town when necessary. How should I build my character and what mods should I get? Thank you in advance for feedback.

I'd say marksman and sneak for a hunter type character. Alchemy also to make poisons.

If you want to play the part "all the way," you'll Major in Marksman, Sneak, Acrobatics, Athletics, Alchemy, Light Armor (for the furs or leather), and Armorer (a self-sufficient hunter needs to fix his own equipment. You could swap out the Acrobatics and/or Athletics for some other skill, if it pleased you. Blade would be handy.

As to the mods, you'd probably want a portable bedroll, so you don't have to clear out a camp or a dungeon every night.

There's a thread in the Mods section about "Immersion" mods if you're into the food/drink/fatigue requirements kind of changes to the gameplay. I assume that's the sort of thing "living off the land" implies, else you're only dealing with selling meat and pelts, which needs to be done in town.
