Ok, is the game still challenging from lvl 20 to lvl 50 for a melee/spell caster on veryhard without putting points into blacksmithing? Basically base values plus my skills and perks into armor/weapons?

I seem to remember the very reason why I went with overhauls was BC of making the game more challenging. Now im in the process of waiting for mods to be updated for it to run smooyhly with my setup.


So basically as a melee/offensive spellcaster wearing light armor with no blacksmithing whatsoever, will I be able to die often due to normal combat?

I think you'll survive a little longer at higher levels, but yes. It should be very challenging with those limits.
